Shelby's Version: Shelby and Jayden first met at one of Breanna's holiday parties, "Dashing through the hoes." Shelby was eyeing Jayden all night and he wouldn't give her the time of day. As the hour grew later, Shelby took a shot and announced to the party, "I will shoot my shot!" She ran up the stairs to see Jayden surrounded by girls. Shelby elbowed her way through and said, "Do you want to get to know each other?" To which Jayden replied, "Hell yeah." They spent the night getting to know each other and Jayden asked Shelby for her phone number. Shelby gave it to him with full intention of ghosting him in the morning. When Jayden texted the next day asking her to breakfast, Shelby's mom encouraged her to go home, shower, put on some makeup and meet this boy for breakfast. Jayden had eggs benedict and Shelby had huevos rancheros. They shared a wonderful, eggy kiss after breakfast and agreed to go on another date that very night. The rest was dingledom history. Jayden's Version: I’d been single for maybe four months and was really trying not to pursue anyone. I just wanted to focus on school, work, and myself. But then winter break hit, and I figured it was time to have a little fun. There was this party my best man Max invited me to, and I showed up early to help him set up. We cracked a few beers, and I was feeling a little nervous, just trying to keep things chill. Then some of Breanna’s high school friends showed up, including Shelby. Right away, I thought she was the prettiest girl there, so I basically ruled her out. I told myself I wasn’t going to go there, just to avoid putting pressure on myself. So I ignored her. Later I’m on the stairs talking to a few people, and Shelby walks right up to me, and says, “Hey, do you want to go to the bedroom and get to know each other?” I didn’t hesitate, said, “Yep,” and took her hand. As soon as we got inside, she turned around and said, “Just so you know, we’re not having sex.” I said, “Totally fine.” And we got to know each other, talked about our interests and favorite movies, kissed a little, and it was pretty effortless. I got her number, asked her to breakfast the next morning, and we had such a good time we planned a date that same night. The rest is history.

If you've spent any time around Jayden and Shelby, you've probably heard them call each other dingle, or some variation: dangle, doongle, etc. They can't remember which one of them started the trend but it stuck. The definition of the word is also unclear but contextually it seems to mean a goofy, lighthearted fool, a definition that readily describes Shelby and Jayden. This wedding is an important part of the life they are building together - the dingledom.
