Matron of Honor
Geneva’s older sister and lifelong best friend - the one who knows her better than anyone and has been by her side through everything! If you see her at the wedding, conversation topics could include: anything science, animals, working with animals, and, of course, her dog.
Best Man
Evan and Jay have been friends since they were five years old. With Evan’s godfather being Jay’s uncle, the two like to call themselves “god cousins”, honorary family if you will. If you see him at the wedding, conversation topics could include: rock music, Star Trek, quilting, Philadelphia, and Jay’s youth.
Bridesmaid
Sophia is Geneva’s sister (technically cousin, but who’s keeping score). They grew up together and share a lifetime of memories! Conversation topics could include: salsa dancing, art, travel, and (staying on theme here) her dog.
Groomsman
Jay met Noel senior year of high school through mutual friends and later spent a summer together working with him on the farm. They’ve proved their friendship can survive both high school and manual labor. Conversation topics could include: cooking, rap music, South Carolina, honestly he’ll talk to you about anything.
Bridesmaid
Isabel is Geneva’s sister by way of cousin and just one month apart. She gets special credit for introducing Geneva and Jay, so this whole thing really traces back to her! Conversation topics could include: The Traitors, Gabby Windy, poetry, Lisa Rinna, travel, food, and clothes. She didn't say this, but also her dog, who are we kidding.
Groomsman
Jay’s friend since first grade, the two spent years making trips to Charlottesville together for UVA games. Both, along with Evan, share a lifelong passion for the Grateful Dead. Conversation topics could include: jam bands (are we sensing a music theme), growing up in Baltimore, baseball, and King of the Hill.
Bridesmate
Geneva’s younger cousin, and despite the 10 year age gap, they’re all very close (if you couldn’t tell)! Raine somehow manages to be both the youngest and one of the coolest. If you see them at the wedding: ask about any of the fandoms they’re in, art, or, and we can’t break theme here, animals!
Groomsman
Casey met Jay through Noel and shared a connection to Jay’s childhood neighbor (small world moment). They’ve spent the last decade finding humor in each other through all of life’s curveballs. If you see him, conversation topics could include: NYC, sketch comedy, acting, comic books, anime, and indie rock.
Bridesmaid
Hanna has known Geneva since they were seven, and they’ve been best friends since fifth grade (wild). She’s been there though every stage of life and knows all the stories. Conversation topics could include: books or movies you’ve read/seen recently, cute animals (really staying on theme), and musical theatre of course.
Groomswoman
Jay met Alice sophomore year of high school, and the two have been close ever since. One of those friendships that survives all the phases and trends of high school and beyond. Conversation topics could include: New Orleans, the Eastern Shore, rap music, and Cajun/southern cuisine.
Bridesmaid
Geneva met Bree when she was in college and they were working together at Banana Republic. They’ve been inseparable ever since, facing all of life’s chaos with a sense of humor! If you see her, conversation topics could include: things to do in the area (your resident VA local), travel, your dream job, your life goals, really dig deep here!
Groomsman
Skye met Jay at a Death Grips show in college, which somehow turned into being close friends and eventual roommates. Arguably one of the more chaotic, but still successful, origin stories. Conversation topics could include: film, Chicago, firefighting, live music, playing the saxophone, and growing up in Flagstaff.
