Things To Do

We love living in the Triad! It's full of natural wonders, museums, and really great places to eat and drink! If you're spending the weekend here, we've got a few suggestions of things to do.

Old Salem Museums and Gardens

900 Old Salem Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27101
, (336) 721-7300

This is a really cool living history village where you can learn more about North Carolina history. There are lots of hands-on demonstrations that you can watch and it's a beautiful place to spend an afternoon.

Joymongers Brewing Co.

576 North Eugene Street, Greensboro, NC 27401
, (336) 763-5255

This is our all-time favorite brewery and the place you can usually find us on a Sunday afternoon. There is both a Greensboro and Winston-Salem location. This is a must if you like craft beer.

Hanging Rock State Park

1790 Hanging Rock Park Road, Danbury, NC 27016
, (336) 593-8480

This is one of our favorite state parks! It's just a short drive from Winston-Salem, but provides beautiful hikes to summits or waterfalls! If you're outdoorsy, this is a great place.

North Carolina Zoo

4401 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro, NC 27205
, (336) 879-7000

WE LOVE THE ZOO. This is a great way to fill up a day and it's one of the best zoo's in the country! Take a picnic lunch and make a day of it. It's affordable and great for families!

Boxcar Bar + Arcade

120 West Lewis Street, Greensboro, NC 27406
, (336) 298-8386

If you want to head to Greensboro, this is one of our favorite spots. It's a bar AND an arcade with a really great pizza truck out front. Think DDR, classic pinball, air hockey, and beer. Cool for kids and adults!

Divine Llama Vineyards

4126 Divine Llama Lane, East Bend, NC 27018
, (336) 699-2525

This is a vineyard and llama farm. It's exactly what it sounds like. Grab a glass and stroll through the vines while saying hello to llamas, chickens, mini horses, and donkeys.

Greensboro History Museum

130 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27401
, (336) 373-2043

This is a great (free!) place to stop by if you're in Greensboro to learn more about the history of the city. There's a fantastic urban park (LeBauer Park) next door that's a great place for kids to run around. Bonus: this is all in downtown Greensboro, which is easily walkable and has lots of gems. Other favorite downtown palces include: Scuppernong Books, Natty Greene's Brewing, and the International Civil Rights Center and Museum (this is where the 1961 Woolworth lunch counter sit-in began!)

Salem Lake

Winston-Salem, NC

Salem Lake has several trails, a playground, picnic areas, and boat rentals! A great place to hang out with family.

For all the days along the way
