Tinder! Sonya and Jason chatted online for a week or so before deciding to meet up for a beer at Natty Greene's in downtown Greensboro on Friday the thirteenth of July (seriously. Sonya was convinced she was going to get murdered). They ended up talking for hours and eventually shutting the bar down. Sonya left the date feeling optimistic. Jason and Sonya spent a weekend in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Jason suggested making a day trip to Southport, North Carolina. Southport is really special to Sonya; she spent most weekends there during summers and eventually decided to move there for a full summer in college. While introducing Jason to the town, he suggesting going to the Marsh Walk, a pier and gazebo that looks out over the Intercoastal Waterway (and truly one of the most beautiful places on earth). They sat down and enjoyed the view of passing boats for awhile and Jason got down on one knee. Sonya repeatedly told him to shut up, but eventually got her act together and said yes.
