Our ceremony and reception will be entirely outdoors with grass and gravel so we recommend bringing a layer for the evening and wearing comfortable shoes that allow you to not only dance the night away, but also navigate the terrain!
Once upon a time a little boy named Joe Hayes lived in a little house on the Limoneira Ranch where his father, Lloyd Hayes, worked as a foreman. He went to the Briggs School about a mile and a half down the road which is still there on the right side as you drive to the lemon farm from the highway. A few years later he met Ida Hatcher at Santa Paula High School and the rest is history. Today the Limoneira is still a working orchard which grows limes and lemons for Sunkist as well as avocados for the Calavo brand. The orchard now also hosts weddings and so Joe and Ida's granddaughter is happy to invite you for her own wedding at the ranch this May. There will be a free shuttle to the wedding from two hotels in Ventura (see the How Do I Get There? tab) Ample free parking is available at Limoneira Ranch as well. Guests may leave their cars overnight at the ranch, if they choose to use the shuttle or Uber/Lyft to get back to Ventura. However, all cars must be picked up by 10:00am on Sunday.
5:00 pm
Casual Attire: Anything goes, from dresses and slacks to jeans and tees.
