Time to Move the Party to Michigan!

You probably know at least one of us pretty well since you're invited to our wedding and all, but sometimes it's nice to get a little more backstory on that person your person has chosen to spend the rest of their life with. So just in case you are a little shaky on the details, here's a little bit about each of us before we were the dynamic duo you know today....

Kellie

Kellie was born in Long Beach, California (the LBC!) and has one younger sister, Katie, who will be her matron (hee hee!) of honor. After attending one of the largest high schools in the country, Long Beach Poly, and now winning countless rounds of my-high-school-was-bigger-than-yours, she headed off to UC San Diego to major in biological anthropology which sounded good at the time. After college she fulfilled her life long dream of living in the most crowded place on Earth--Tokyo, Japan. She taught some English and learned some Japanese for a year then decided to move back in, in true Millennial fashion, with her parents for some reason. She ended up working in an ophthalmology office first in LA then Seattle where she decided to fulfill her other life long dream of becoming a doctor. She was accepted to the University of Washington medical school down the street from where she lived but was promptly sent to attend her first year in Moscow, Idaho instead. After moving back to Seattle a year later she continued medical school and met the love of her life in 2014. Since she's never been able to stay in one spot for very long she was somehow able to talk him into moving to New Mexico. The rest is history!

Jason

Jason was born in Flint, Michigan and raised in Bay City, home of Madonna and the sugar beet factory that Madonna is quoted as saying made the town a bit smelly. He has two older brothers, David and Jeremy, and an older sister, Amy, who will be his Best Lady (Woman?) in the wedding. After trumpeting his way through marching band at Bay City Central High School in Bay City he eventually moved on to become a Spartan at Michigan State University (go green!) where he majored in all things computery (yes Kellie wrote this, no she still doesn't understand computers). He hung out on Amy's couch in Chicago for a hot second after graduating from MSU before being drawn out west to Seattle to realize his computery dreams, including a stint at Microsoft before moving on to better things. That's where he met the love of his life (yours truly!) in 2014 who, as you know, suckered him into moving to the New Mexican desert where he still whines (only occasionally now) about the heat. The rest is history!
