If Becky didn’t accidentally swipe right on Jason’s photo, all of us wouldn’t be getting ready for a wedding. After matching on the app, Becky sent Jason a gif (that’s a soft g, the rest of you are saying it wrong) of a bear waving. Jason said something incredibly corny about it being “unbearable” if he didn’t get to talk to her. Unbeknownst to Jason, Becky lives for corny bullshit. One corny joke, and the fact that Jason is a pelirojo, sealed the deal for a date. After some initial awkwardness from Jason, they ended up staying out until after midnight, far past Jason’s bed time. A trip to brunch the next weekend in Las Cruces convinced Becky that Jason wasn’t a serial killer who would leave her in a ditch. A couple months later, Jason “accidentally” dropped Becky on her head. Later that day, Becky decided they were a couple (Coincidence? We think not). Seven months after they first met, Jason was texting Becky’s mom and best friend for help finding an engagement ring. Becky has spent the past ten years trying to find a way to deal with politicians, and begging people for campaign contributions. Becky grew up in El Paso, TX, and has also lived in College Station, TX; Sante Fe, NM; Seattle, WA; Washington, DC; Modesto, CA; South Bend, IN; Long Island, NY; and Orange County, CA. Becky’s family members attending will include her mother, Yolanda or Yolie, and her brother Mario. Unfortunately, Máma, Tio and Carlos will not be able to attend physically but hopefully they can make it spiritually and bring Juan Gabriel with them. Becky also has two furry children, Marvin and Pia, who will have to stay home and watch the house the day of the wedding.

Jason spends most of his days sitting in a cubicle trying to come up with something to write. Prior to that Jason received government funded travel to multiple locations on behalf of the the Air Force. Jason has lived in El Paso for almost nine years. Jason grew up in Harrisburg, PA, and has also lived in Greensburg, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; San Angelo, TX; Aviano, Italy; Las Vegas, NV; and Washington, DC. Jason is very aware that he “outkicked his coverage,” by about a mile and is just happy Becky has failed to realize this yet. Jason’s parents, Dan and Diane, will attend. Diane and Jason's Aunt Debby will be doing a majority of the cookie baking.
