Will the ceremony and the reception be in the same place?

Answer

No. The ceremony will be held at Smith Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. The reception will be held 11 miles away at the Magnuson Grand Hotel in DeSoto, TX. The estimated drive time is 14 minutes per Google Maps.

Do I get a plus one?

Answer

If you did not receive an invitation specifically stating that there has been an extra seat reserved for you, you do not get a plus one. We respectfully ask that you please adhere to the number indicated in the invitation that you received. Failure to adhere will result in additional guests not being permitted into reception and asked to leave or sit in the lobby area.

What is the attire?

Answer

We would like for our guests to be as comfortable as possible considering June is pretty hot in Texas. However, we are requesting that men please wear a dress shirt and tie, blazer or suit preferred but optional. Ladies please refrain from wearing sun dresses. Please no jeans.

Can I bring my child(ren)?

Answer

We are asking that you please refrain from bringing your children unless otherwise has been discussed with Jasmine and Brodrick. While we do love the kids, we would like for this to be an evening of adult fun.

What are the colors of the wedding?

Answer

The colors of the wedding are: gold, navy blue & blush. Blush is a very light/faint pink.
