The temples are about a 2 hour drive from the resort if you plan to rent a car, however you can also book through a travel service provided by the resort. Two for example include Experiencias Xcaret or Yukatreks.
Isla Mujeres
Isla Mujeres is an island where the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea meet, about 13 kilometres off the Yucatán Peninsula coast in the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico. To visit the island you can take a ferry for around $11-$17 round trip. Head to the Puerto Juarez ferry (Gran Puerto) to save money compared to Playa Tortugas. There is also a bus that can take you from the resort to the ferry station that costs about $1. The boat ride from the ferry station to Isla Mujeres is about 20 min.
