Our love story all started when I was on my way to meet up with my friends at our designated lunch table before school one morning. For some reason, I saw a group of underclassman occupying our spot, which didn’t sit well with my friends and I at the time. As we approach the group to kick them out, I was stopped dead in my tracks when I see the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen turn around and look at me…and at that point, I that knew that whoever that girl is, she was going to be my next girlfriend no matter what. I set my plan in motion by I asking everybody I knew if they knew who she was. After days of investigating, I was finally able to figure out that her name was Jasmin Suazo. And as fate would have it, just a few days after learning her name, who’s name do you think appears on the top of sign-up sheet for a random club called Mock Trial. With no prior club experience, no interest in anything that was called “Mock Trial”, and no idea what I had just got myself into, all I knew was that I had to get to know this girl by any means necessary. Long story short, after studying for 2 weeks straight and building up a strong enough legal case to make marijuana legal, I was elected to be one of two lawyers that would sit along-side of Jasmin for the season. And from that day forward, our teamwork turned into a friendship, a friendship turned into best friend, best friends turned into high school sweet-hearts, high school sweethearts turned to college sweethearts, and college sweet-hearts turned to husband and wife. Now, while our story is far from being complete, I’m glad we were able to get you up to speed and so honored to share our next big milestone with you all in Cancun!
Nathaniel and I had spoke about visiting Paris together for a long time, so you can imagine my excitement when he shared we would finally be going! Our trip to Paris was originally to celebrate 9 years together, and of course Nathaniel had an agenda of his own. November 11th we had planned to visit Disneyland in the morning and explore the city in the afternoon. After hanging out in the park a few hours Nathaniel suggested we head over to the Alice in Wonderland walk through maze. Now in all honesty, I had a suspicion Nathaniel would be proposing on this trip. However I did not know when or how. Together we went through the maze, and at this point I started to get a little anxious as I felt the question was coming. As soon as we approached the queen of hearts castle he stopped me, grabbed my hand, and went down on his knee. Of course I couldn't say YES! quick enough, and we were finally engaged. The true surprise came after I said yes, when my parents jumped out of the castle and surprised me! I had no idea my parents would be there, it was truly a magical moment. After the many tears and celebration, Nathaniel and I went downtown and enjoyed the day together. That evening he took me to dinner at 58 Tour Eiffel inside the Eiffel Tower, and we shared Champagne at the very top over-looking the city. Needless to say November 11th, 2018 was the best day of my life so far and I can not wait to spend the rest of my life with my high school sweetheart.
