FAQs

Question

What method of transportation do you recommend?

Answer

While our venue will have paid public parking available, we recommend using a ride-share service (Uber/Lyft), the streetcar, or a pedicab to travel within the city. For the Wedding Day, we have Uber Vouchers for our guests to use either to get to the wedding at The Jaxson or for their end of the evening transportation after the wedding or from the After Party at Pat O'Brien's. We want to allow our guests to have the best time at the wedding and be able to get back to their hotels safely at the end of the evening. Please go to our Travel Page for the Link for the Uber Vouchers that we have provided for our guests.

Question

I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in New Orleans?

Answer

Please visit the "Things to do" tab above to view several wonderful things to do in the city during your stay.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

In order to allow all guests, including parents, a night of relaxation, we have chosen for our wedding and wedding events to be an adults only occasion unless they are directly involved in the wedding party.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception at the same venue?

Answer

Yes! We will be having a rooftop ceremony and then head indoors to celebrate at the reception, so no transportation will be necessary in between.

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

We want everyone to look and feel their best, so we are requesting formal or semi-formal attire.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space in the venue, we ask that invited guests not bring a plus one unless indicated on their invitation.

Question

Can I take pictures at your wedding?

Answer

We ask that guests please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We have hired a very skilled photographer to perfectly capture the celebration. Pictures are permitted during the reception.

Question

"I bet I can tell you where you got your shoes"

Answer

If you hear this while visiting, please just say "no, thank you" and keep walking. This is a common scam around the French Quarter... btw, the answer is "on your feet", but it's best to not engage and enjoy the rest of your visit around the city.
