Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jany Figueroa and Liam Baker
For those traveling in or unfamiliar with Long Island, our hotel is in Hauppauge, centrally located to three great waterfront towns. We’ve listed some of our favorite spots in each area below. While we encourage you to explore New York, staying in Manhattan is not logistically feasible for the wedding day. Please plan your NYC sightseeing for before or after the wedding. If you are traveling in, we kindly ask that you stay at our room block at the Hyatt Regency Long Island in Hauppauge, where transportation will be provided to and from the ceremony and reception. Looking for coffee, waterfront views, or a fun lunch spot after checking in? You’re in the right place! Enjoy some of our favorite local gems while you’re here celebrating with us! 🤍
Bayshore, NY

Bayshore, NY

Bay Shore is a charming coastal town with a lively Main Street and beautiful waterfront views. It’s the perfect place to spend a relaxed afternoon while you’re in town. This town is especially close to our hearts, as it’s home to our ceremony church, so feel free to take a peek at the beautiful church where we’ll be saying “I do.” We recommend taking a stroll down to the Bay Shore Marina or Manor Park if you’re in the mood for a scenic walk along the water. For a casual lunch and great cocktails, Coastal Kitchen is one of our favorites. If you’re looking for breakfast, brunch, or just a really good cup of coffee, Toast Coffee & Kitchen never disappoints.

Hauppauge, NY

Hauppauge, NY

Hauppauge is home to our wedding room block at the Hyatt Regency Long Island, which sits on the beautiful Wind Watch Golf & Country Club property. If you’re staying at the hotel or just have a little downtime, feel free to call ahead and book a tee time. It’s a great course right on the property and the perfect way to spend a relaxing morning or afternoon before the festivities begin!

Oakdale, NY

Oakdale, NY

Oakdale is home to our wedding venue and is another beautiful, quiet waterfront town on the South Shore. With its charming main street and scenic surroundings, it’s a lovely place to explore while you’re in town. If you’re stopping through the village, we recommend The Village Idiot Irish Pub for a casual bite and a great pint. There’s another location out east that we love visiting on summer Fridays, so this spot feels especially fitting for us! For a peaceful walk, head to Bayard Cutting Arboretum State Park. The grounds are stunning and perfect for a long stroll along the water.
