In the Fall of 2023, Jake was living like all thriving, successful late-30-somethings: at his parents' house in Chappaqua, NY (his Miami home was being renovated). After being single again for the first time since his mid-20's, he gave Hinge a try. Angela, who had also recently gotten out of a long relationship, had been traveling the world. Along with spending a lot of quality time with her newborn niece, family and friends, she was constantly on a United flight, exploring new places, rediscovering old places, and padding her Global Service status. And in the midst of everything, she also decided to try her luck on Hinge. Jake messaged Angela something cheesy, and after 10 days of not-so-patiently waiting (she was traveling, obviously), she finally messaged him back. Hours of texting and several phone calls to make sure Jake wasn't a serial killer later, their first date was the next day at Figaro, a Greenwich Village bar around the corner from Angela's apartment. Jake had another date stacked right after (don't worry, Angela knew about it), which she proceeded to ruin for him, since all he could do was think about her. Since the Miami house was *supposed* to be done that fall, they both thought it would be a quick NYC fling. But the construction dragged on, feelings were caught, and the rest is history. After a year-and-a-half bouncing around living and traveling together in New York, LA, Chappaqua, Bend OR, Japan, Korea and Hawaii, and roadtripping up and down both coasts and across the country, Angela & Jake finally settled in to a somehow-still-under-construction(!!) Miami house. They're now ready to officially begin their new life together. We couldn't be more excited to share this special day with you.
