Another great Thanksgiving tradition is opening day at the spectacular display of Christmas lights at Amarante’s Winter Wonderland in Dayville, CT. We stop on our way home from Beavertail State Park.

Vintage Christmas tunes are played as we dig out childhood ornaments to hang on the tree. We reminisce about our family traditions and enjoy making new memories as well!!

Big rocks are special to Tom. Here is Dagget Rock located in Phillips Maine. Did I say rock(?!) I mean, one of the largest glacier erratics in New England (8000 tons, 80’ long, 30’wide and 25’ high)!!

People may find it strange how much we enjoy exploring the swamps surrounding the French River. So much wildlife!!

Bought our Dream Home!! We didn’t plan on purchasing a home (needs work) so close to our wedding date, but it was too good to pass up with 200 feet of frontage on…the FRENCH RIVER!
