Question

Is the wedding on Thursday the 18th or Friday the 19th??

Answer

The nuptials BEGIN on Thursday, July 18th. At 11:00 p.m. The actual "I Do's" will happen at (or soon after) midnight on Friday, July 19th. Bottom Line: you need to get yourself to the wedding on Thursday! If you show up Friday night, that's your tough luck. Though you might get to move in on a few good fishin' spots.

Question

I heard wedding guests are camping? Is there REALLY camping??

Answer

Yes, some people really ARE camping! The campsite is at the very same park and boat ramp (Ennis Riffle) where the nuptials are taking place!

Question

When can I reserve my camping spot? And does it cost?

Answer

You can't. It's first come, first serve. Which is why some wedding attendees are coming a day or two early and staking their claim. And bringing a cooler-full of their favorite beverages. It is $5 a day, and we'll pay your fee if you let us know!

Is it Glam Camping at Ennis? And can I camp in my RV or motor home?

Answer

Glam Camping? No. Not by any stretch of the imagination. There's no grass. Well, there's tall river grass along the riverside. Probably some gnarly blackberry bushes. But no soft green grass. And the road and grounds are uneven and dirty. What do you expect for $5? Sure, camp in your RV or motor home, but be advised: there are NO water/electricity hookups. And NO sewage dumps. But, there's a couple out houses near by.

I've heard there have been fires along this stretch of the river the last several years. What if there's a fire? Will there still be a wedding?

Answer

One of the reasons we wanted a late night wedding was to avoid the heat. We can't do anything about a fire, though. If there's a fire, we'll probably throw everyone in our back yard. There's a creek there. If we close our eyes, listen to the bubbling brook, and pretend, it'll be just like we're at the river. Plus, we have grass. And electricity. And plumbing. It's a nice trade-off.

I heard you're rafting before the wedding. Can I go too?

Answer

We are rollin' with our homies and pulling up to the ceremonies in a raft! After a few family, we have a few spots saved for brave souls who may want to join us on an inflatable bouncy raft, in the dark canyon, through blind spots on the river, spied on by all the night creatures, and dive bombed by bats. Though, not many. BUT even better: we really DO want to share the river with any wedding attendees on Saturday - in the SUN! See the Q&A below!

I see there is a brunch on Friday. Do you expect us all there?

Answer

Of course not! But some of our favorites are coming from far and wide, and we feel in the mood to get in some more hugs. And food. Always more food. And mimosas or Bloody Marys if the mood suits. What's the deal with the rafting on Saturday? What if I'm afraid of the water? And exercise.

Answer

The Rogue River is the pre-eminent spot for those who like to enjoy the water and sun - and a few rapids! And it's one of our favorite pastimes! If you want to try your hand at floating the river (whether you are a pro or a weekend warrior wanna-be, or whether you want to paddle yourself, or just jump in a boat, soak up the rays and relax) we'd love to have our favorite people enjoy it as well. This stretch of the river is friendly to all comers. And what's better than eating under the huge shade trees on a nice roomy deck overlooking the river, with a breeze keeping us cool in the warm air, when it's all over? You'll need to make arrangements for your rafts and gear through OTT or Galice Resort - OR let us know you're in, and we'll let you know your piece of the pie after we have everything!
