Events & Times

The Wedding Website of Janeen Andrew and Josh Glidewell
Yep. It's late. We know. But our regular rafting floats on the river are the inspiration behind our special evening - under a full robust moon and flickering stars, surrounded by dark hills blanketed with old forests, and soothed by the rippling waters of the Rogue. The festivities begin at 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18th at Ennis Riffle County Park. The magic and mood of the event - and the midnight snacks and beverages - should keep you awake long enough to witness the "I Do's", which are set to take place at midnight on July 19th - if our chauffeured raft arrives on time! You may take your leave and lay your weary head down when the mood strikes, just mere steps away, at the adjacent camp ground, in your tent or RV. Please scroll down to see what the evening entails, and details about a Friday Brunch and a Saturday River Float, if you're game! rsvp: janeenandrew@charter.net

The Prep - Meet & Greet!

11:00 pm

At: Ennis Riffle County Park

Attire: Wedding Casual! Southern Oregon in July is known for hot sultry summer nights, but seein' as we're riverside, you may wish to bring a light cover. Also, LADIES: don't wear anything long and drape-y....it won't be easy holdin' up all that frill whilst in the port-a-potty - just sayin'. (& we have this notion that white shirts & tops will look nice in photos under the twinkling lights.)

Upon Arrival: Parking is to the left as you enter the Ennis Riffle driveway. Careful: don't run over any wedding guests or tents! Once you've parked, mosey over to the right of the driveway, find a beverage (for you morning folk, a hot coffee, and for you owls, a shot?) and some munchies, and enjoy the company and the incomparable starlit scene of a Southern Oregon night by the riverside!

The Nuptials

12:00 am

Where? Right there at the boat ramp!

Attire: Keep everything on - we're still formally celebrating! ;)

What To Look For: Some sort of "staged area" in close proximity with the boat ramp, prettied up with greenery, lanterns, glittery lights and such. Maybe a swag or two. Who knows? But, if you keep your eyes trained on the river, at some point, we'll rise like Aquaman from the depths, natch. Mosey on over and witness the ceremony, conducted by the incomparable and handsome Jan Andrew, and then we'll all celebrate this long overdue occasion!

Noshing & Kanoodling

12:30 am

Where: at all those tables we set up, of course!

Time to Cut Loose For... **Toasts and Memories! We'd LOVE it if our friends and family added to the memories of the evening with a word or two (or three) so FEEL FREE to get your 2 cents worth in! **Snacking (spicy meatballs with basil and parm; 7 layer bean dip - who doesn't need beans at night, am I right?; donut holes with sauce; pretzels and mustard dip; chocolate covered bacon; cookies and milk; some yummy sliders) **And Beverages (Adult and DD kind. And for the non-night owls: some coffee - the strong stuff and the decaf!) **Some yummy confection, courtesy of the FABulous Irene Amble... **Some Sweet Tunes...

Hit the Sack!

2:00 am

Attire: Okay, maybe you got a little warm with all those sweet dance moves, but put your clothes back on and take your flip flops and sweaters with you!

For all the die-hards, our carriage turns back into a pumpkin by 3 a.m. - it's late, y'all - and we need to pack up everything! Go get in your sleeping bags or camper beds just across the grounds (it's up to you how late you kibitz in your campground!), or your cozy air conditioned Hotel-Motel-Holiday Inns! Maybe we'll see you for breakfast - if you're awake by then, sleepyheads! **We will have some designated drivers on hand for those of you who had a little more bubbly than usual. They're young and impressionable and should be suitably entertained by those who need the rides!

The Morning After Tell-All Brunch

11:30 am

Where: Janeen's & Josh's digs in Grants Pass

What to wear? Whatever is still clean

If you can make it, let's munch and reminisce and laugh at the tipsy people's dance moves. Mimosas and typical breakfast fare is on the menu. And leftovers. Please rsvp by July 5th for this event, so we can plan accordingly.

Rafting The Rogue River!

11:00 am

Where? Meet us at Hoggs Landing on Galice HWY

What to Wear: Tuxedos and Prom Dresses, natch! Not really. Try bathing suits &/or board shorts; tank tops or T's over the suit for the modest; hats for those sensitive faces and domes. Bring a light sweatshirt and some sun screen.

We wanna go rafting! If you're interested, please let us know by July 5th; we'll need to reserve rafts! It's an approximate 5 hour float, if we take our time, with a few riffles and rapids. Bring snacks and beverages. We'll end up at Galice Resort for dinner! Beverages are on us - but you got your dindin.
