Travel Note

Air BnB or Hotel

We recommend checking out housing rentals in Kure Beach (closest), Carolina Beach (10 min), Wilmington (40 min - most options), or anywhere in between. We use Air BnB and Carolina Beach Realty. There are also a variety of hotels in the area.

Flight

Wilmington International Airport (ILM)

This is the closest airport but not always the cheapest. It is 25 miles/ 40 minutes from Kure Beach. Sadly, little to no public transit is available. However, we do have rental car facilities, Lyft, Uber, and taxi services in town.

Raleigh International Airport (RDU)

This airport is competitively priced and is 2hr 40m / 160 miles away from Kure Beach. However, you're looking at having to rent a car to get in order to get to Wilmington. There are buses available (Greyhound) but that will only get you as far as Wilmington. Wilmington is roughly 40 minutes from Kure Beach.

Myrtle Beach International Airport

It's possible you may be able to find some deals on these flights as our date is at the tail-end of the summer. It is 2 hrs/ 99 miles away from Kure Beach and 1.5 hrs from Wilmington. You will likely need to rent a car if coming from this location or look into Greyhound Busses.
