The wedding party will be renting a house on the beach from Sept. 11 to Sept. 15. Our idea of a honeymoon is to be spent with those we love and who we have not seen in a long time. Sadly, we can only fit so many folks there which is why we'll be holding receptions elsewhere.
There is a Quaker tradition that allows all - no matter who they are and their background - to feel welcome to share their experiences as they feel led. As we will not be able to have all of you with us as originally planned, all are welcome to drop a video sharing a memory or some advice for us moving forward.
Nope, no gifts needed! Bring yourself and feel welcome just as you are! In lieu of gifts, we're asking for cash donations (under the registry tab) to help us cover travel costs during the winter months as we go south towards warmer temperatures in the van. Think of it as a loooong honeymoon...where we'll also be working and meeting folks along the way :)
What we want to do for the 'reception' dinner is a massive potluck of finger foods at Long Leaf Park. Vegetarian dishes are preferred as Rebekah cannot eat meat/fish/broth without getting sick. Sweets are also welcome!
Nope! Just wear whatever you'd like and be comfortable :)
Invites and activities are catered to adults. If you choose to bring your child to the reception, please be courteous to those without children. We cannot guarantee that words and subjects shared will be child-appropriate.
So long as they get along with our dog Mira, yes! Please be sure they are leashed and kept away from food. No pets are allowed within Jamestown Friends Meeting - the reception will be held outside until a shelter.
