Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at 4:00pm, a half-hour before the ceremony starts to receive your welcome drink, grab your seat, and settle in.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

No, there will be no group transportation provided. We recommend organizing a taxi with your hotel upon check-in or calling an Uber. From central Locarno, the drive is about 10 minutes. You can also take the train to Minusio and from there it is an easy 10-minute walk along the water to the venue. For more information on trains, please see the "Travel & Stay" tab.

Where can I park?

Answer

There are parking lots near the venue: Option 1: 46.17547, 8.825942 Option 2: 46.17630, 8.825886 Please note this is public parking and space may be limited.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting) and the reception will be a combination of indoors/outdoors. If the weather forecast calls for rain, the ceremony will be moved indoors at Villa San Quirico. We will provide additional details closer to the date if it comes to this. Please dress accordingly. For those wearing heels, the venue is paved therefore silettos are not a problem. However, if you would like to take pictures by the lake, you will have to walk on grass.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. The dress code is Garden Formal. Please see "Dress Code" tab for more details.

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

We recommend either Milan Malpensa in Italy or Zurich Airport in Switzerland. Please see the "Travel & Stay" tab for more information.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The rooms at the location, Giardino Lago, are already fully booked. However, we have a deal with multiple hotels in the area. Please look at the "Travel & Stay" tab for more information.

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception adults-only events. However, the venue provides an on-site daycare in which your child will be looked after and provided meals throughout the day. Please contact Alana or Jan directly if you are interested in bringing your child.

What events are happening during the weekend?

Answer

Other than the wedding, we are hosting a welcome party for all guests. Guests are also welcome to join the breakfast at the venue on Sunday morning. Please see the "Schedule" tab for more information!

Question

Do I need a visa to enter Switzerland or Italy?

Answer

No, U.S. & Canadian citizens do not need a visa to enter. However, your passport must be valid three months beyond the date you are leaving.
