Joshua Tree National Park

When in Rome! Joshua Tree National Park is the meeting point of 2 distinct dessert ecosystems - the Mojave and the Colorado. It is a gorgeous desert expanse, filled with - yep, you guessed it - Joshua Trees! The Park is great for hiking/exploring, picnics, camping, seeing wildlife (for all you city folk!), stargazing, and deep-dive soul searching. Highly recommended.

Pappy & Harriet's

This pretty much sums it up, from The Infatuation: No trip out to Joshua Tree is complete without a night at Pappy And Harriet’s. The iconic restaurant/saloon/outdoor music venue has history dating back to the 1940s when the original building (and the surrounding Pioneertown) was designed to be a 1800s frontier set for Hollywood movies. Needless to say, we wish these walls could talk. If you aren’t stumbling out after a long night of drinking, eating BBQ, and dancing uncontrollably to a live band you’ve never heard of before, you’ve done Pappy and Harriet’s wrong.

The Sound Bath at Integraton

The Integratron is a structure designed by ufologist and contactee George Van Tassel. Tassel claimed the Integratron was capable of rejuvenation, anti-gravity and time travel. He built the structure in Landers, California (near Joshua Tree), supposedly following instructions provided by visitors from the planet Venus. This is an unforgettable sound experience for those who seek deep relaxation, rejuvenation, and introspection. All Sound Baths are 60-minute sonic healing sessions that consist of 25 minutes of crystal bowls played live and the balance of the hour to integrate the sound and relax in the sound chamber to recorded music.

World Famous Crochet Museum

Free and open 24/7! The Crochet Museum features just about every conceivable type of item, represented in crochet form. There are animals like poodles, bears, and unicorns. There are also more abstract designs, like smiley faces and lumpy little creations that are less identifiable.

Joshua Tree Certified Farmers' Market

On Saturday mornings (8a-1p), the Joshua Tree Farmers Market is open on Hwy 62. This is a Certified Farmers Market, so there are strict rules - the merchants can only sell locally grown or created items.

Giant Rock

You read that right. Giant Rock—located in California’s Mojave Desert—is roughly seven stories high and covers almost 6,000 square feet. Some say it is the largest freestanding boulder in the world. The rock has been a Native American spiritual site for thousands of years and has attracted UFO conventions and ancient astronaut theorists! Located near the Integratron.
