Hope everyone has been staying safe and sound during this insanely crazy year we've had! 2020 was a doozy and as you know we had to roll with the punches and postpone our wedding to 2021. However, in that time, we welcomed our sweet baby boy into the world on March 14, 2021 - Oliver James Eggleston, aka "Ollie" - who you will be meeting at the wedding in October! Wish us luck for baby's first plane ride ... We went back and forth a LOT about even doing the wedding but in the end decided that it will be a lovely reunion for many of us and a great place to re-hone our diminished social skills (just kidding, kind of!). In the absence of excess time (hello, baby!), we're going to try to keep all wedding correspondence electronic. So RSVP's will be on this website only (or just let us know). After a year of terrible lows, we are so looking forward to celebrating with our friends and family this October. We hope to see you there and can't wait to party down with our favorite people! We're sure most of you are wondering why we would choose Joshua Tree as our wedding location... We considered weddings in either of our hometowns, a wedding in NYC, an elopement in Vegas, and none of those scenarios really excited us until we landed on Joshua Tree, which seemed perfect because ... Joshua Tree was where Jamie originally wanted to propose (we had gone there on vacation in the fall of 2018 and were planning on going back a year later to dig up some "buried treasure" we hid in the desert - shhh don't tell the parks people as I'm fairly sure this is not legal). Due to schedules and traveling and well, LIFE this year, we never made it back - so this seemed like a perfect way to tie everything together. Plus, Joshua Tree is the coolest! ....And we are kind of crazy so a wedding entirely across the country where neither of us lives or hails from is kind of fitting.
