It’s finally here! Please remember to bring cash! For those riding the shuttle, it should be at Marriott at 3:15, then Holiday Inn to follow! We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone!

Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who will be walking down the isle with us!

Bailey VanVoorhis

Co-Matron of Honor

Bailey was my host during my basketball recruiting visit to Northern Colorado. We never played together as a Bear, but our friendship grew through our connections to Alisa and Nelly. Between all the girls trips, golf tournaments, WODs, and random coffee dates..there have been more laughs than we can count. I have been blessed to stand up with her at her wedding and can't wait to have her by my side in July!

Alisa Evans

Co- Matron of Honor

This girl is the main reason I broke out of my shell at Greeley. I still remember being in bed well before 9 o'clock on a Thursday (could't be tired for summer workouts the next day) and overhearing her comment about how lame the new girl was. It still took a year but I finally let loose and still cherish those memories. Alisa knows exactly what to say to cheer me up, calm me down, or when to just listen. There is never a dull moment when she is around and I can't wait for all the dancing we have in front of us!

Lacey Veltri

Bridesmaid

Lacey is basically my little sister. We grew up together going to the job sites with our dads, playing sports together, and creating memories making ravioli or baking with dad. She would travel to WY with my dad to watch me play during HS and I road-tripped out to Wartburg, IA to watch her graduate from nursing school. We have lived in separate states for the majority of our adult life but that hasn't changed the bond we share. My favorite memory was standing next to her as she said I do to the man of her dreams and have loved watching her grow in her career.

Becki Fulton

Bridesmaid

Becki and my friendship began as a blind roommate situation. We were both moving to Spearfish; her to take the next step in her relationship with her boyfriend and I was going back to school to get my teaching degree. Neither one of us knew what to expect but I am so thankful for that day. She is the most genuine, kind person I know...who hates to do the dishes (haha) However, she makes up for it by baking the most amazing things! Thanks for being the Meredith to my Christina.

Kristin Carmichael

Bridesmaid

Kristin and I played against each other in High School...but our friendship didn't truly start until I moved back to Spearfish and I ended up doing some programming for her volleyball team. Fast forward 9 years and there isn't much I wouldn't tell her. She helped pull off the biggest surprises of my life and people who know me know that isn't easy. She is one of the best story tellers and never fails to make you laugh in a conversation.

Remi Wientjes

Bridesmaid

I grew up as an only child. While Lacey and I were close, we never experienced the sibling rivalry. Remi is the little sister I never had...You know the one; knows exactly how to push all your buttons, always in a competition about something, and never lets you live anything down... But with all of that comes the long conversations about life, Sunday morning church and brunch, and probably the best hype girl anyone can ask for. We coach together, workout together, and even work two different jobs together. She helped pull off one of the best days of my life and can't wait to have her by my side in July!

Lindsay Green

Bridesmaid

Lindsay is Eric's sister. Her and her husband (also in the wedding party) own a cattle ranch in Dewitt, MI where she helps in all aspects of the operation. She does all of that while also promoting her own athletic apparel boutique, working a full-time job for a dairy company, and being a fabulous mom to the adorable Owen and Addison (the cutest ring bearer and flower girl ever!). She's kind of a bad ass right? Growing up an only child, I always wondered what it would be like to have a sister. I know living clear across the country from each other makes it pretty hard sometimes but I'm truly excited to finally have someone to call a sister.

Alex

Best Man

Alex and I met over 5 years ago as training partners. Due to Alex’s persistence, he quickly became one of my best friends. When I moved to SD, it was particularly hard on this friendship as we spent so much time together going to our favorite brewery, the gym, or catching the game. However, Alex was the first one to come visit me after I moved. It was on this trip that Alex met Jamie for the first time, before we had started dating. I’m honored to have him as my best man and a little brother for life. I’m thrilled to be able to stand up for him at his wedding to his beautiful bride-to-be Emily, in September.

Drake

Groomsman

Drake and I met during my Master’s program and I quickly realized he is one of the funniest and most genuine people you will ever meet. While I was working full-time and preparing for my board exam, he was my biggest hype man and always had my back. Out of all the groomsman, he and I have know each other the shortest amount of time. However, when I thought about who I wanted there with me at my wedding, he was an obvious choice.

David Bowser

Groomsman

David and my friendship started about 5 years ago thru the gym that I worked at. I ended up living with him and his wife Jackie for two years until I moved to SD. I can’t say enough good things about the love and hospitality that they both showed me. David is the type of guy that if you pick up the phone and call him at midnight with a problem, he’s there for you for as long as you need. David and I have been there for each other through some big milestones; one of the biggest when David asked me to be a part so his promotion ceremony to Master Chief in the Coast Guard. Him and Jackie currently live in Arkansas and I can’t wait to show them around SD.

Gerald Green

Groomsman

Gerald is my brother-in-law. Him and my sister have been married for over 10 years. I didn’t have an older brother growing up but when I met Gerald 12 years ago, he very quickly and confidently filled that role. He is the guy I call when I need advice, was one of the biggest influences on my decision to move to SD, and always tells me how things are-straight up. He’s the guy I strive to be like and so honored to have him by my side in July!

Matt Dougherty

Groomsman

Other than Gerald, I’ve know Matt the longest. We met in undergrad in MI and is that friend who was there when I was growing into the man I am now. He’s the first to give me a hard time and crack a joke, and he’ll be the last to leave your side when you need help. Matt is currently serving as an officer in the US Army and stationed in TX with his wife Savannah and beautiful daughter Maggie.

Eric Schafer

Groomsman

We have know each other for a while. Most people would be shocked if they were to hear our conversation, as they would think we hate each other. All we do is give each other a hard time but it comes from a place of brotherhood. A few years after we met, he moved to Columbus, OH for work but every time he was back in MI he never failed to text me to either meet up, workout, or grab a drink. That loyalty is why I consider him one of my close friends to this day and why I’m excited to have by my side in July.
