Our Story: Love at First Frat Party

While the finer details of their first introduction may vary depending on who you ask, and how many drinks we've had, one thing is for sure: meeting Darion was the highlight of Jamie's first weekend of college, and it marked the beginning of their lasting love story. Call it fate, or call it a frat party (same thing) - but under the magic of the stars (read: some twinkle lights someone hung up) at the Alpha Epsilon Pi Christmas party, Jamie and Darion hit it off in earnest in December 2015. In the weeks that followed, they excitedly exchanged texts and calls over winter break, basking in the newness of a fun crush. But after a few months, Jamie was ready to make it official. Over a romantic Valentine's Day date, she asked Darion the magic question. Ever heard of a DTR (define the relationship)? Jamie said "Are we dating or…" to which Darion replied "I guess" with a cheeky smile. Just a month later during Emory spring break, Darion told Jamie he loved her, and that he knew she was the one. In the eight years that have followed, Jamie and Darion have grown together in so many ways. From a few career evolutions (remember when they were pre-med?!) to the discovery of passions new and old, including: caring for their two adopted pups, traveling the world (and exploring Atlanta!), buying and fixing up their first home, and cooking together (with mixed results), Jamie and Darion have had a journey filled with unforgettable moments - made all the more special by the family and friends that have supported, loved, and encouraged them along the way. Thank goodness for frat parties, right?! Eight amazing years later, we are so excited to celebrate our love story with you, and mark this new chapter of our lives with an incredibly special weekend in beautiful Sarasota. We can't wait to see you all, and hope you're ready to dance the night away with us - because if there's one thing we love, it's throwing a great party!
