Matron of Honor
Casey is my older sister, also known as the middle child of the family. Growing up, I was her ultimate sidekick going to every sports event, college visit, band concert, and recital. The title of "sidekick," remains true to this day. Whether it's helping her at an event, shopping, or just a chill night in, there is never a dull moment with the two of us! Casey has played many important rolls in my life as a best friend, mother figure, mentor, hype woman, sister, and now wedding planner! It has been so much fun being a Bright DeSign's bride and getting the full experience. She amazes me every day with her organization, attention to detail, and care that she has for all of her clients. She is so talented and hardworking. I am lucky to call her my sister!
Best Man
Dalton Bierer and I met in middle school. During high school we became quick friends, had every class together and kept each other sane with our similar sense of humor. A kind soul who can put a smile on anyone's face, I'm excited to have him as my best man.
Matron of Honor
Alison is my older sister and is the first born of the family. Alison graciously paved the way for Casey and I as the oldest sibling. She has a wild sense of adventure and love for the great outdoors. Some of my most favorite memories with Alison was when I visited her when she lived in Lake Tahoe. I went once in the winter months and once in the summer months. We hiked, paddle boarded, kayaked , and she also taught me how to ski. Alison is also very creative and talented graphic designer. She has many characteristics that I look up to. She is extremely resilient, kind, determined, and nurturing. Between her and Casey, I cannot have two better examples of the kind of sister, daughter, mother, wife, and overall person I aspire to be.
Groomsman
Matt is my future brother-in-law. Matt is quick witted and a joy to be around. He continues to teach and show me how to be the best partner possible.
Bridesmaid
Sydney and I met in kindergarten, and it was best friends at first sight. We have been inseparable since day one whether it was having fashion shows in her basement, playing all the same sports, or having endless slumber parties on the weekends, you basically can not find one of us without the other. We were the Ugly Step Sisters in Cinderella (our third grade play), Twin Towers 1 and 2 in basketball (even had the names on the warm ups to prove it), and with our last names at the end of the alphabet, next to each other at every assembly and school event. With experiencing all of life's big moments together, it is only natural that we would get married 2 months apart. She is the champagne (Veuve Clicquot of course) to my orange juice!
Groomsman
Lucas is my cousin. We spent many summer vacations and holidays playing football with the Sams family. Lucas is the closest thing that I've had as a sibling. We continue to bond over our love of video games and the classic Sams humor.
Bridesmaid
If anyone has ever been lucky enough to have a cousin that is the same age, that also doubles as one of your best friends, then you know exactly the kind of relationship Lilly and I have! Some of my favorite memories growing up with Lilly is getting to have countless slumber parties, opening all of our toys Grammy and Papa Clause got us at Christmas and playing with them together, and car rides where we belt out the lyrics to our favorite songs. Our ultimate past time was spending all of our time in our grandparent's basement making up dance after dance and performing them for our family. From diapers to wedding dresses we have been with each other every step of the way, and I am so lucky that I get to do it with her of all people.
Groomsman
Chase and I have been friends for most of my memorable life. We met in 3rd grade and have been friends ever since. We could be found tearing it up in the golf cart or staying up til the early morning playing games.
Bridesmaid
Claire and I were blindly set up as roommates our freshman year of college by a mutual prospective student host during separate college visits, and boy she could not have been more spot on. Claire and I quickly bonded over our love for Kate Spade, Papa John's Pizza, and being indecisive. Claire was the best kind of person to take on college with because she instantly was someone I felt like I have known forever. Also, remember that Claire girl I mentioned in the story on our Home page? This is the one! Claire played match maker with Dalton and I, and I could not be more thankful to her for that!
Groomsman
Blake and I met senior year of college. We quickly bonded over our taste in music and my ability to beat him in Super Mario Strikers. Both of us on Flunk Day Committee meant many nights raising money at restaurants. During my free time I spent many days hanging out in his apartment watching the greatest TV show.
Bridesmaid
Shelby and I met in college. We were in the same sorority, but didn't truly bond until we had the class International Studies, freshman year, together. I always looked forward to having class with her because she can make the most boring task into something that everyone wants to be apart of. Shelby is one of the most bright and bubbly people I have ever met. She has a rare talent for finding anything and everything to celebrate, and boy does she do it well! Her adventurous nature and love for life makes being her friend so much fun. There is never a dull moment!
Groomsman
Grant and I met freshman year and became close friends during sophomore year of college. Being the same major we spent countless hours in labs across the campus. Rarely studying as hard as we should have, you could find Grant and I in the labs blowing on the humidity gauge to max it out.
Bridesmaid
Hailey and I grew up together, attending St. Pauls and Assumption. Hailey, in my opinion, was the coolest girl in the grade above me, and I was just lucky to be in her presence. So imagine my awe, when we were in high school and we played all the same sports, and being as tall as we are, we were always the same positions. We spent a lot of time together, and became the best of friends. Hailey would also give me rides to and from practice, and we always have the best time together. I was, also, lucky enough to be her roomie for a few years after college. Throughout the many stages in our lives, I have always looked up to Hailey and will continue to do so.
Groomsman
Drew and I met in high school track. We passed the time practicing shot put by talking about our common interest. Many of my fondest memories with Drew are playing board games on New Years Eve and being too engrossed with the game to realize that we were into the next year. Whenever Drew makes his way back into town, we make it a point to play games together.
Bridesmaid
I was first introduced to Nicole through the Snapchat stories of Hailey. Nicole and Hailey went to the University of Iowa together, and I lived to see what kind of trouble these two would get into during their weekend shenanigans. Throughout college, Hailey would always talk about her friend Nicole to me and to Nicole would talk about her friend Jamie. When we finally met in person, it was like I had known Nicole for as long as Hailey had and we were 3 peas in a pod. Nicole and I share a love for Anthropology, headbands, and our dogs who are also besties. Nicole is one of the most thoughtful and intentional people I have ever met, and we are so happy our friend Hailey brought us together!
Groomsman
Austin and my parents are friends, and naturally, we followed suit. Our friendship grew more in high school when he was the quarterback to our center. After high school we roomed together in college where more memories were made.
Bridesmaid
Emily is a childhood best friend that I have known since Kindergarten. During grade school, Emily moved into the same neighborhood as me and lived right up the street. She and I would carpool to and from school. Before our permits and license, we had our very own chauffeur (Emily's dad who graciously stopped at Starbucks every Friday for us), and then when she got her permit, we ruled the streets in her cherry red, Jeep Cherokee. Emily has always been an influencer and fashionista for as long as I have known her. Even if we spend time apart, when we are together time picks up right where it left off. She is a dancing queen and the life of a party!
Groomsman
Jake and I were neighbors for the majority of our life. We played football in the old school yard when we were younger. During high school I would walk to his house for a ride to school and listen to "American Pie" on our way home. During the summer of 2017 Jake and I drove to Alaska in a Chevy van, sleeping in the van, and only losing one tire on the way.
Usher
Charlie is another future brother-in-law that I will be gaining. I enjoy spending time with him during holidays and family events.
Usher
Daniel and I met through mutual friends and quickly became friends ourselves. He helps me with all things technical and we thrive together when enjoying a weekend in Iowa City, Daniel's quick witted humor and out of pocket quips continue to humor and surprise me.
Ring Bearer
Beau is the son of Casey (Jamie's sister) and Matt Kane. Beau turned 3 in January and brings joy to everyone he is around. With his infectious smile and dimples, it is hard to not laugh and have a good time when you are around him. Beau's favorite things are his tools, Paw Patrol, squirt guns, playing outside, ice cream, and having his family and friends all together. Dalton and I love our days we get to have Beau all to ourselves and find new adventures to go on. He is going to be quite the dapper little dude!
Ring Bearer
Warren is my nephew. Warren is extremely adventurous and always on the move. Warren loves riding his bike, building with Legos, playing outside with his friends, learning about animals, and chasing his brother, Aksel. Dalton and I love spending time with Warren helping him build with his Legos or building tracks for his Hot Wheels. He is going to look so handsome in his suit and tie.
Ring Bearer
Aksel is my nephew. He has a very sweet and cuddly personality. He gives the best hugs and has the best laugh. Aksel loves music class, doing puzzles, riding his scooter, Play Doh, and allll the sweets. Dalton and I love spending time with Aksel playing with his toy horses and construction trucks. Aksel is also going to look so handsome in his suit and tie!
