Iowa River Landing
This is a great place to shop and eat! There are many shops in the area including Anthropology, Lululemon, Von Maur, Trader Joe's, etc. There are also many delicious restaurants. We would recommend 30 Hop, Tribute, and Iowa Athletic Club. End your IRL experience with a sweet treat from Scratch Cupcakes or Cookies and Dreams!
Pedestrian Mall
The Ped Mall is in the heart of downtown Iowa City. From restaurants, to boutiques, to parks, there is something for everyone there!
Coral Ridge Mall
Looking to shop until you drop? Head to Coral Ridge Mall! Some of our favorite stops are Scheels, Target, Home Goods, and Dry Goods. There is also an ice skating rink, movie theater, and family museum in the mall as well.
Big Grove Brewery & Taproom
If you are looking for a relaxing afternoon full of craft beer and yummy food, then look no further! Big Grove is one of our favorite spots. Their massive patio area is perfect for a relaxing afternoon/evening outside on a nice day. Jamie's go to is the sours they have like Que Sera or Summer Jam, and Dalton's favorites are any of the dark beers. Any time we go there we have to get a giant pretzel to share. An added bonus is this restaurant is dog friendly, so Goldie comes with us too!
Hamburg Inn No. 2
This is Dalton and my favorite breakfast spot. It is right outside of the downtown area (Ped Mall). It is a little "hole in wall" diner that has the best food. Our favorite thing to get on the menu is the Hawkeye Hog skillet. They are also known for their pie shakes. Every once in awhile Dalton and I will treat ourselves to a pumpkin pie or Girl Scout Cookie Carmel Delight shake!
Monica's
This is the restaurant that Dalton and I went on our first date. They have a huge menu, and it never disappoints!
Vue Rooftop
This restaurant is at the top of the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, right down the street from the Ped Mall. Their patio area has the greatest view of Iowa City, hands down!
