What is the Best Way to Get to Hilton Head Island?

The most convenient airport is Hilton Head Island Airport (HHH), located right on the island and only about 10–15 minutes from most hotels and resorts. HHH is small and easy to navigate, and is served by major airlines such as American, Delta, and United. Uber/Lyft are available on the island during daytime and early evening hours, and rental cars and taxis are also located right at the airport. Additional Airport Option: Savannah (SAV) If you don’t find a convenient or low-cost flight into HHH, another great option is Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), about 45–60 minutes from Hilton Head Island. From SAV, you can rent a car, take an Uber/Lyft (availability can vary depending on time of day), or reserve a private shuttle/car service in advance. Companies such as Palmetto Car Service and White Sands Transportation offer pre-booked transfers from the airport to Hilton Head. Also feel free to let us know if you plan to fly into SAV and are interested in finding other guests to carpool with.
