Travel

For those travelling from overseas, we have listed a couple of hotels close to our home in London where the Thursday and Saturday events will be located. Plenty of other choices are available and we encourage you to look around Bayswater, Paddington, Notting Hill. In fact, you can choose almost anywhere in London and be only a short journey away on the London Undergound as the transport system is very good. A coach will run after midnight from the wedding venue in Loughton to bring people back to the Lancaster Gate/Paddington area.

Hotel

Premier Inn, Paddington Station

This hotel is a new build directly across the street from Paddington Station and very close to the rest of our wedding events at The Victoria Pub and Kensington Gardens. A great option, especially for families.

Hotel

Ruby Zoe, Notting Hill

Conveniently located near Holland Park, this is a lively hotel with a bar and music.

Travel Note

Traveling from Abroad?

When looking for flights, try skyscanner.com and select London-All or LON as the destination so you capture every local airport to us. Most flights will land at Heathrow, but Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and City Airport are all London airport options that have direct trains to Central London within an hour. These are especially relevant if you choose a flight with a stop over somewhere like Dublin, Iceland or Amsterdam as this can make a big difference on flight costs. Skyscanner will also show you the major airlines' options alongside UK based travel companies selling those same seats at lower costs. They often buy in bulk and can be cheaper, in exchange for less flexibility on changes. Pro tip: if you are coming to London on a red eye, and especially with kids, consider booking your hotel room for the night before so you can check in right away. Alternatively, you can use a site called Day Use and book a hotel room for a few hours once you arrive. You may be tired and want to rest or refresh when arriving :)

Contactless Payment

Most of London is contactless, meaning you don't need to bring cash. Apple/Google Pay or a credit card is the most common way to pay for everything. This includes tapping in and out of the London Underground, on the bus, or paying at any restaurant or pub
