What God has joined together, let no man separate.

We have known each other for about twelve years. Our families were part of the same home school co-op when we were young (James was eight and I was nine), and during one of those years, James's mom was my teacher and my mom was James's! We pretty much forgot the other existed until 2022, when my family began attending the same church James and his family went to. I started helping James lead worship for youth group, and he became the driving reason I showed up to youth group every week. In January of 2024, we were at Sam's club eating lunch with some friends after church, and he randomly asked me, "Would you ever date me?" Whoever knows James, knows it took a lot of courage for him to say that! I responded, "Yeah, probably," and His very next question was "Well, how many kids do you want?" For most people that would be a very intimidating question, but I found it very attractive. One month later, James asked me to his senior prom, two weeks after that he asked me out on a date (5:30am breakfast on a Saturday morning), and one week after our date he talked to my dad. We started dating about a month later. We are overjoyed that God has brought us together! God has stretched us and molded us in so many ways during the last two years, and we are so excited to experience how He works in our lives as one!
