I became good friends with Jamekia while we were both working at the same hospital. What started as a casual coworker relationship developed into a real friendship. Although we worked in different departments, we became close friends and made time to check on each other daily. We also share the same birthday. We have made it a tradition to celebrate together each year since we met. Jamekia is an extremely caring person and will help anyone in need; which makes her more than deserving of nothing less than the best. I am so happy for her and Barry as they join in matrimony. Well, I have known Lainia all of her life. Every since she was a young girl she would follow me around everywhere I went. If I went somewhere, she just had to go with me. I first met Jamekia when I walked into the hospital cafeteria where we both work. She was so warm and welcoming, and little did I know that she would soon become my department's nurse mentor, and later, my assistant nurse manager.   Not long after, I met Barry, her kids, and her parents. I feel truly blessed that her mom entrusted me with her. Jamekia has become like a work daughter to me, as well as a partner in healthcare.   I’ve witnessed the hard work she puts in at the hospital, and I know that she pours even more effort into her family life.   Jamekia and Barry are a remarkable pair. Both are focused professionals and incredibly loyal people—truly, as my kids would say, “for real, for real.” It warms my heart to see the love they share, reflected in their eyes.
