Sarah and Jake met 2 days before classes began their freshman year of college at The Ohio State University on August 21, 2016. They were members of the same program, and so lived on the same floor. Jake was the first person Sarah met from Arkansas, and naturally, she had a lot of questions about it. Throughout the year, they became close friends. One year later, to the day, on August 21, 2017, Sarah and Jake started dating. Throughout their remaining three years, Sarah and Jake met almost daily for breakfast on campus (and Jake was almost always late). They attended each home football game together, and never seemed to live more than a block away from each other while Buckeyes. In 2020, during the depths of Covid, they graduated from Ohio State (virtually), but stayed in Columbus. Jake then supported Sarah through her law school journey, and, two years later, Sarah returned the favor when Jake decided to do the same. Along the way, they adopted one cat (Ruthie B.) and then found and kept another (Mr. Socks). In August 2024, Jake proposed to Sarah at Limantour Beach in Northern California while they were on vacation. Now, nine years in the making, we can't wait to celebrate our wedding with all of our friends and family.
