FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4 o' clock. Please arrive no later than 3:45 to ensure that you have time to be seated before the ceremony begins.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our friends and family dress up with us! The dress code is "funky formal" think semi-formal with a funky twist. Suit coats and long dresses or cocktail dresses. Add in some fun color or pattern, don't be shy!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love your children, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate all kiddos at our wedding. Please plan to enjoy a date night out unless your children are listed on the invitation. We hope you are able to join!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Good question! We hope sunny! Typically Labor Day Weekend is one of the last weekends of summer weather in MI. Plan for late Summer attire but bring a layer just in case. The reception is being held at a covered pavilion, so it is likely that the weather will be cooler in the evening at the reception.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception in different places?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony will be taking place at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Our Reception will be held at The Riverbird Events which is about a 25 minute drive. Cocktail hour will begin at Riverbird Events at 5:30 PM, which will allow everyone time to make their way to the venue. The Reception will begin at 6:30PM with Dinner to follow.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Please leave the photos for our photographer! We want to limit distractions in order to fully embrace the sacrament of marriage. Following the ceremony, feel free to snap as many photos as you'd like! :-)

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

We kindly request that you RSVP as promptly as possible. We must have all RSVP's submitted by July 31st, so that we may make the proper accommodations. Thank you!
