How We Met
Jake and Meghan first met at a Theology on Tap in Richmond, Virginia in December, 2022. Jake was greeted with an enthusiastic “Hi, I’m Meghan” while attempting to speak with his friend sitting beside Meghan. While nothing came from this conversation at first, Jake made his impression on Meghan with his good looks and strong faith, and Meghan made her impression by (apparently, not so subtly) stealing glances at Jake for the rest of the night. Three months later in March 2023, they met again at a Catholic Young Adult Swing Dance. There was no mistaking that Jake was the same charming man that Meghan had met several months prior - after all he was wearing the same green shirt! (A shirt Meghan still won’t let Jake throw away). In order to dance with Meghan, Jake kept requesting Meghan show him how to do “the pretzel”. They danced together the rest of the night as their natural chemistry became more apparent and even convinced a group of people to go bowling afterwards so that they could continue their conversation. In the months following, Jake and Meghan went on dates, adopted a dog, went to Puerto Rico, and enjoyed life together until they couldn’t imagine living life apart. Jake proposed on December 21, 2024 on the T-Pot bridge over the James River while admiring the skyline of the city where everything began. They are eagerly awaiting the day of their marriage and to celebrate the day with you!
Keifer Pfister
Best Man
Keifer and Jake met at the DMV where Jake harassed a sick Keifer to explain his conversion. They began going to church together and going out for a drink afterwards. Keifer, knowing Jake would be insistent to get him back, paid for Jake’s bill several weeks in a row until he was in the habit of going to church. Keifer is a man of vision, tenacity, and charity. He is the mover behind the community and spends countless hours loving people where they are at and calling himself and others to a higher standard. Jake is honored to have Keifer as the best man, especially since he has made it clear he is willing to help support Jake’s family if God smites him.
Sean Mullican
Groomsman
Sean is the reason Jake’s family bleeds red (for Liverpool, that is), and the man responsible for converting them into die-hard fans. When he’s not introducing the family to legendary football clubs or iconic bands at live shows, he’s busy with his biggest gig yet—being a dad! Sean has always set a good example and been supportive of Jake - he even took the couple’s engagement photos. Whether it's music, soccer, or family, Sean goes all in—and Jake is fortunate to have him standing by his side.
Dylan Mullican
Groomsman
Dylan is the kind of guy who's on a lifelong quest to crack the code to early success and still make time to dive into deep conversation. Whether he’s talking about crypto or religion with Jake, he's always bringing thoughtful vibes. He loves hiking, playing soccer, floating the river or whatever gets him outdoors and active. He’s the youngest of the Mullican brothers, but don’t let that fool you—his knowledge runs deep (just don’t ask him to explain Bitcoin after midnight). Jake’s extremely lucky to have Dylan on this journey with him.
Addison Lagarde
Groomsman
Addison is always down for a day at the range and usually so is Jake. The one time Jake canceled, Addison happened to run into Jake on his first date with Meghan and made sure to say hi to find out who was so important. Despite Jake canceling, Addison remains loyal enough to build Jake his guns. He is a grounded, selfless, and properly oriented family man. He remains a stable role model with planted feet and his head on straight. Jake is grateful to have him standing alongside him (and not just because he’s probably packing).
Isaac Whitfield
Groomsman
Ike is the longest-running roommate Jake’s ever had who isn't related to him. For three years they've shared walls, jokes, whiskey and cigar smoke. He's the kind of guy who can make you laugh at just about anything, and yet somehow manages to keep Jake balanced along the way. Whether they are navigating life in the city, dealing with car troubles, discussing philosophy, or just hanging out and cracking each other up, Ike has always been a deeply insightful, holy, and meaningful fixture for Jake. Ike is genuine through and through and he is an important friend in good times and bad. Jake is blessed to have Ike by his side at the wedding.
Lauren Depue
Maid of Honor
Lauren was the obvious pick for Maid of Honor not only because she is Meghan’s only sister, but because she has always been Meghan’s best friend. Growing up, Meghan and Lauren played make believe everything together - from house, to school, to (you guessed it), wedding. While at that young age Lauren always insisted on playing the “bride” and Meghan would tape on a drawn mustache to play “groom”, Meghan still could not imagine a wedding, real or make believe, without Lauren by her side.
Miranda Hart
Bridesmaid
Miranda is Meghan’s only female cousin and the cousin closest in age, but more than that Miranda is a close friend who has always been a stable, generous and loving support in Meghan’s life. Meghan’s most fond childhood memories are the frequent sleepovers, trips to the waterpark, and nail painting sessions (which were always Miranda’s speciality). Meghan feels so blessed to have Miranda with her on her wedding day.
Elizabeth Muratore
Bridesmaid
They say to not get your hopes up thinking your first college roommate will become a lifelong friend, but for Meghan and Elizabeth, that was exactly what happened. They first met on a “find your roommate” Facebook page bonding primarily over their shared love of baseball, but grew closer throughout their first year singing together, going on hikes, seeing shows, and of course, watching the Mets in the World Series. While they now live states instead of steps away from one another, Meghan will always consider Elizabeth one of her closest friends.
Rosemary Pfister
Bridesmaid
Meghan met Rosemary at the same Catholic Young Adult Swing Dance where she met Jake the second time. Despite Meghan being distracted trying to teach Jake the “pretzel”, she quickly gravitated to Rosemary’s kindness and fun personality. Over the next two years, Rosemary and Meghan’s friendship grew through thrift store excursions, weekly car rides to women’s social events, and double dates with Jake and Keifer (Rosemary’s husband and Jake’s best man). Meghan and Rosemary frequently comment on how they feel they have been friends for many more than two years, and Meghan could not imagine a wedding party without her.
Olivia Lagarde

Olivia and Meghan met on Jake and Meghan’s first date, when they happened to bump into Addison (Jake’s roommate and Olivia’s fiance at the time) on their stroll through the RVA Big Market. They instantly clicked, and have since enjoyed frequent trips to the gym (which admittedly included more talking than exercising), hilarious voice messages back and forth, and eventually Meghan and Jake calling “dibs” on babysitting Olivia and Addison’s son for the first time. In only two years, Meghan and Olivia have grown closer than either of the two thought was possible in such a short amount of time.
