7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Dressy casual: Jeans are welcome and so are slacks and sundresses. There are paved paths through the gardens, but also grassy areas, so avoid stilettos and your fresh white Nike's. This is an outdoor venue so bring a light jacket or sweater! Please no ripped jeans or athleisure.

Let us welcome you to Madison for our wedding celebration weekend! For many of you, this is your first time in Madison, so we'd love to spend time with you in one of our favorite Madison spots: The Olbrich Botanical Gardens. Enjoy Ian's pizza and cocktails as you stroll the gardens with us.

6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Festive Semi-Formal: Suits and gowns are welcome, and so are blazers and cocktail dresses. Have fun with your look with bold colors and playful accessories. Women should wear a cocktail dress, party dress, or dressy romper in a fun color paired with playful accessories and heels or dressy flats. Men should sport a suit or slacks + blazer, jazzed up with a bright tie or creative pocket square.

Self guided exploration of Madison

Come as you are, but bring walking shoes!

Make the most of the long weekend in Madison by exploring on your own. Follow our Madison Scavenger Hunt or choose your own adventure. There are lakes for kayaking and SUP'ing (rentals available), the free public Henry Vilas zoo, squeaky cheese curds at every corner, and much more! Check out our wedding website for suggestions. Don't forget to stop by where it all began for Jake and Kate: Epic! The software company where we work was designed by the same architects as Disney and Microsoft, so grab your sense of adventure and take a self-guided tour 10AM–3PM on Sunday (or Saturday if you have time). Extra points if you go down both slides, find the hidden room in Mystery, camp out in the Endor tree fort, find the moving pictures in Wizards Campus, and find our offices in Oz!
