On a sunny afternoon in September of 2010, Scott walked into Jaime's house on Wetherburn Drive in Whitby, just as she was walking down the spiral staircase towards the door (seriously). He was moving in as their billet while he played for the Oshawa Generals that season. There eyes met, Scott thought to himself "Wow, am I going to be living with her?" and Jaime thought "Wow, nice eyelashes." The following year, at 17 and 19, Scott moved out and the two began dating, and have been together ever since. Eight years later and they've shared so many amazing experiences together. They've lived in 5 cities together, and have spent the last three years living the good life on the west coast in California. Scott asked Jaime to marry him on January 27, 2019 on a beach in Cabo, Mexico, at sunset. She was crying so many tears of joy that she forgot to say "yes", and forgot to look at the ring. Scott reminded her that those were really her only two jobs in this whole "engagement thing." It was beautiful, and absolutely perfect. For over eight years they have loved one another. Though distance was difficult and the highs and lows brought both joy and tears, the one thing that has stayed true is the easy love they share, the future they hope for together and the happiness they bring to one another.
