Jacqueline is from Hollywood, Florida and we are planning on moving to South Florida this summer. We are excited for you to visit us and enjoy exploring Miami!
The dress code for the wedding is Black Tie Optional.
Yes, Beth Torah offers a secure lot with plenty of parking.
Yes, all food served at the wedding will be Glatt Kosher - Events by Executive Caterers.
We are very blessed and grateful that we are having two rabbis officiate our wedding. Rabbi Dovid Tiechtel is the Chabad Rabbi of the University of Illinois and is traveling all the way from Champaign, IL. He conducted Eli's Bar Mitzvah. Eli especially enjoyed going to Shabbat Dinners and Jewish holiday celebrations during his college years as an Illini. Rabbi Eliot Pearlson is the Rabbi at Temple Menorah in Miami Beach, FL. He even officiated the wedding of Jacqueline's parents, Howard & Simone! Rabbi Pearlson has conducted many Baikovitz simchas including Jacqueline's baby naming and Bat Mitzvah along with her brother Alex's Bris and Bar Mitzvah.
In accordance with Jewish tradition, weddings cannot be held on the Sabbath (commonly known as Shabbat), ending after sunset. In an effort to accommodate as many out of town guests as possible who have to return to work, school, etc. on Monday, we chose to hold the ceremony on Saturday after sunset when Shabbat is over. Rest assured there will be plenty of food, and you will not go hungry!
Eli is an avid marathon runner and he is training for the 2027 New York Marathon. He is planning to run for Fred's Team which is the official team of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), raising funds for lifesaving cancer research and clinical trials. This is especially meaningful to us as one of Jackie's relatives recently underwent cancer treatment at MSKCC. We are very blessed to have her in attendance at our wedding and we would like to support this cause in her honor. Since the marathon will take place in 2027, the fundraising campaign that the marathon and their charity partners put on has not been officially launched. We will make sure to put the donation in your name so that you would be able to receive a charitable tax deduction. Thank you for your generosity!
