After the ceremony, guests are invited to participate in the Calenda, a vibrant Oaxacan tradition, blending music, dance, and community in a lively procession through the streets. Rooted in local celebrations, it features colorful decorations, traditional dancers, and the rhythmic sounds of brass bands, creating an unforgettable festive atmosphere. For our wedding, the Calenda will symbolize the joyful union of our families and cultures, inviting everyone to share in the excitement as we celebrate this special moment together

After the Calenda, we will return to Quinta Real for the reception and move inside to 'La Capilla'--a historic stone-arched space that once served as the Church of Santa Catalina. Enjoy a dinner of Oaxacan cuisine, open bar, and a night of music and dancing.

The next day, the bride's family will host a traditional brunch (El Recalentado) outside the city as a "hangover cure" for the late night partygoers. While this event is completely optional, it's an intimate way to close out the wedding festivities.
