Matron of Honor
Meghan is my oldest sister and an amazing person. I have the luck of having her as a sibling, but also a best friend. She is my first call when I need some real-talk, sage advice, want to plan a fun party (Megz is a great party thrower) and/ or when I want to know if I can stay the night in San Diego in her guest room because I cannot find a Dentist in LA that I like ;) I have always looked up to my biggest sis and I doubt that is something that will ever change. She is funny, sweet, smart as a whip, and a fierce lover of her family.
Matron of Honor
Lindsey is my big, middle sister and what a ride it's been with this one! Linny and I are close enough in age that high school was semi-painful, but adulthood has been a blast. She no longer tries to steal my clothes and I no longer annoy her the way a little sister should (thank you very much). I am also lucky enough to have her a phone call/ short drive away when I have a question, need help with a crafty idea, or want to know if I can come to her house and steal some of the amazing dips she whips up in the kitchen.
Bridesmaid
Mary Beth and I met in college at the end of our freshman year and then proceeded to live together sophomore through senior year of college, where we napped, played "trail mix toss," and ate so many spicy chicken sandwiches it was absolutely not healthy. MB and I just couldn't get enough of each other so we lived together during graduate school and then post-graduate school when we were navigating the "real world." Meeting MB was one of the best things to happen to me. She continues to be the person who laughs at the same ridiculous things I do, the person I tell everything to (sorry MB for all of the non stop stories), and the person who is real, honest, and shows up no matter what the situation. She is one of my absolute best friends and an amazing human being.
Bridesmaid
Tara, aka "Tina" and I met in college during my freshman year and we've never looked back. I have to say she is one of the reasons I loved my college years. She invited me to come hang out when I knew very few people and needed some reassurance that good friends are real. I got that... times a million. Tara is the sparkling personality in the room. She knows everyone's backstory within 10 minutes of meeting them and then she is your friend for life. I am so thankful I got to be one of those people whose life was changed by this amazing woman. She is my first text (you know I don't like the phone Tara), my most consistent snail mail buddy, and a person I could not imagine living my life without.
Best Man
Being 4 years older, Jesse taught me all sorts of wonderful, and not so wonderful, tricks growing up. Feel free to ask him about: the time he taught me to shoplift, how when I was 2 he convinced me a bikini was a boys bathing suit, when he lost cable television for our entire family... forever, or how he pierced his ear in college and then got it ripped out after challenging me to a old-fashion brother on brother rumble. Any of these should be good conversation starters for him to embellish some incredibly implausible & embarrassing stories about me. Good luck separating fact from fiction. To this day Jesse's best decision was convincing his wife Martha to marry him. If you're looking for a honest answer, she is the best person to ask.
Best Woman
Hannah-Banana. Being 4 years younger, Hannah received all the perks of growing up with older brothers. High School seniors took her to lunch as a freshman, teachers immediately loved her from their previous experiences teaching me, and she quickly mastered the game of Golf to rub her low scores in her brothers' faces. At a young age, Hannah mastered the ability to squeeze $20 bucks out of my dad right after he would have told me he was out of cash... She also tends to embellish a little when recounting her heroic stories about her big brothers, but we appreciate the gratitude. Feel free to ask her about her unbelievable childhood as our younger sibling (even though Jesse and I think she may be adopted), I'm sure she only has wonderful things to say.
Flower Girl
Kennedy is the oldest daughter of Lindsey Boyd, Matron of Honor. She has the sweetest heart in her little eight year old body. She also has had SO many questions for her Auntie Holly and Uncle Jake about planning this wedding. Kennedy loves to read, play outside, and takes amazing care of her little sister and brother, Macy and Dexter.
Flower Girl
Macy is the daughter of Lindsey Boyd, Matron of Honor. She is 6 years old and has the most independent spirit we have ever met. She loves animals, fruits and vegetables, the beach, and her two siblings- Kennedy and Dexter.
Flower Girl
Charlotte is the oldest daughter of Meghan Hammel, Matron of Honor. She is 6 years old and will call her aunties and cousins just to chat because she misses them when they are apart. Charlotte loves being creative, going to the beach, and playing with her friends at school. She is also an amazing big sister to Jules.
Flower Girl
Juliet "Jules" Hammel is the daughter of Meghan Hammel, Matron of Honor. She is three years old and loves Mickey Mouse, playing outside, her mom and dad, and her big sister Charlotte.
Flower Girl
Hannah Vey "Lion" is a full-spirited 4 year old tornado! She loves to count to 10 in Spanish, tell you all about the rules of crosswalks, and go to the zoo! While she likes her Uncle Jacob very much, she probably loves Holly more. Her parents, Jesse and Martha, have had her on a strict flower girl training regiment and when she is not throwing flowers, she is being the best big sister to Stella Grace.
Flower Girl
Stella Grace "Gorilla." This little munchkin was born in September of 2017. She currently is mastering the art of dirty diapers, gregarious giggles, and melting hearts. She is also the offspring of Jesse and Martha and loves her big sister Hannah Vey very much.
Officiant
We are lucky to have Jacob's father Don, serve as the officiant at our wedding. After 40+ years in the ministry, he recently retired to read more books, improve his golf game, and drink delicious wine. He is currently employed by Jacob's mother, Kath, as the official mail man. Kath and Don live on the windy Oregon coast and walk over 4 miles every day. If you are looking for a good book, where the coffee is, or where we've hidden the wine, he will have the answer.
Ring Bearer
This little nugget is the youngest of Lindsey Boyd's kiddos. He is four years old and loves firefighters/ policemen, big machinery, and his big sisters (Kennedy and Macy). Dexter has promised to be the best ring security for our special day.
