As the brother closest in age to me, Andrew has seen more of my life than any other person and has been one of the greatest influences on my life. Andrew is loyal, hard-working, constantly aware of others’ needs, and is one of the most generous people I know. There are countless shared memories we have made over the years that have been such a gift to me. My brothers have truly been one of the best things God has given me.

Ashleykate is my college roommate/dancing/psalm reading buddy. She is by definition, a free-spirit. Ashleykate is a seriously wonderful gift of friendship from the Lord. Zach is humble and always looks for ways to serve others with his many talents. Zach has a heart for listening to others and has a great eye for art. Because of his diligence, I have learned a lot from Zach. His maturity is far beyond his years. Some of my favorite memories with Zach over recent years have included doing photography, playing the guitar, conversations across the country, and playing 2k over school breaks.

Megan is my long-time college friend, current roommate, and travel buddy. She is a loyal friend, an advocate and an example of determination. I am forever thankful to God for you and all of the laughs we share (mostly pertaining to embarrassing stories).

Even though Levi is nearly 12 years younger than me, his maturity and excitement for life have made him a very close brother and friend. Levi is one of the best question-askers I have ever met. He never stops looking for ways to welcome all people and make them feel included.

Cana's college friend and ministry partner. If you're friends with Mandy, she will be your #1 fan no doubt. Mandy trusts the Lord and takes him at his word. Her genuine excitement for life and for the gospel inspires me in every interaction I have with her!

I met Michael my freshman year of high school, and it did not take long for him to become one of my closest friends. Michael is a deep thinker who makes life come alive through his intentional thoughts and reflection. One of the things I love about Michael is that he is fully transparent and not afraid to be himself. In high school, we have spent many hours of conversation on the phone, while hiking, or taking drives that I have valued very much.

Rileigh and I's friendship was built on laughter and many nights sleeping on the floor of her and Ashley's dorm room my freshman year (sorry to our RA, Megan Geary). I'm thankful for her curiosity in God's Word and how it pushed me to look deeper into what God has to say to us.

I met Levi my first year attending Clark College while participating in Cru. Levi and I have led Bible studies, taken classes, played many board games, taken hikes, and have driven across the country together on multiple occasions. Levi is loyal, committed to what he believes, and regularly checks in on how I am doing whenever we are together. He is a friend I know is always available when I need him and that we can catch up where we left off no matter how long we have been apart.

Natalee was my co-worker when we were RAs. She is a ray of sunshine. She's sweet, genuine, empathetic, and finds joy in the little things of life. Her friendship was an answer to prayer (along with Meredith and Hadyn). I'm inspired by her in the way she pursues growth in Christ and how she loves people!

Spencer has been my roommate for the past two years at Grace. While we interacted at times before then, I never got to know him well before we became roommates. It has been a huge blessing to not only have a friend who is mature as a person and in his faith but to also have one who is walking in the same stage of life together. We have been coworkers, intramural teammates, completed similar degrees at school, and have both been preparing for a wedding this summer. Spencer is a friend I can truly trust, is humble, and has a passion for life I have been so blessed by.

Jack and I entered Grace at the same time and met while taking classes in the same program. The following year we became coworkers as RAs at the college, and the summer after that, we interned at the same church in Columbus Ohio. Jack has a deep heart to care for those in His life and is so passionate about sharing how the gospel has transformed His life. Our times of prayer, deep conversations, and spontaneous adventures have made his friendship one of the most valuable ones I have had at Grace.

Hadyn and I became fast friends along with Meredith and Natalee as RAs. Hadyn is a teacher…and not just for fifth grade. She taught me how to navigate the weight room at the gym, how to ace my Gen Ed math class, be generous, be joy-filled, be silly, be gentle, and love Jesus above all else.

I met Noah in the high school group at Glenwood when I first entered high school. After many conversations over coffee, prayer times, trips into Portland, church events, and friend gatherings, Noah has remained one of the closest people I have stayed in touch with when I visit home. Noah has a passion for the gospel and loves to experience life in new ways. He is an encourager, generous, and loves to fill conversations with stories and questions.

Ashley and I met five years ago at school. We spent many hours doing schoolwork, people watching out the window, and laughing at everything. Ashley's wisdom and love of scripture sharpened me as I walked through my first two years of college and independence. I am so thankful for this friendship that God placed in my life at just the right time.

I first met RJ my second year of college when he moved into the same dorm hall as me at Grace. As his RA, I quickly learned that RJ had a natural depth and maturity that was rare to find on campus, and he had the humor and energy that at times would lead to damages on the hall. He has been a friend I have enjoyed keeping in touch with over the years. I have greatly valued his wisdom, deep thinking, intentionality, and the joy he gives others by just being RJ.
