There is so much to see and do in the area! Here are just a few of the many hikes, scenic spots, and food stops. Commute times are based on the wedding venue location.
Multnomah Falls

Commute: 45 minutes Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in the Pacific Northwest and one of the main attractions in the Columbia River Gorge! You will have the option of parking (no fee) at the bottom of the falls and walking a short distance to a bridge. There is also a short hiking option to the top!

Commute: 40 minutes This spot has some amazing views as you enter the Historic Columbia River Highway. The Historic Columbia River Highway is a short drive with countless waterfalls and views. It is a must see for anyone visiting the Pacific Northwest for the first time.

Commute: 2 minutes!! This park is right across the field from the wedding venue. It has a couple of short, easy trails, a playground, and outdoor eating areas.

Commute: 10 minutes The best local coffee shop in Battle Ground, WA inside an old church. And super close to the wedding venue!

Commute: 35 minutes This is a very popular doughnut place in Downtown Portland. There is a second, brand new location that is closer in Vancouver, WA if you don't want to experience the original in Portland!

Commute: 30 minutes This is one of the most well-known ice cream shops in Portland. It has weird seasonal ice cream flavors that not everyone is willing to try.

Cannon Beach

Commute: 2 hours This is probably the best beach to visit if you are looking for something close to the wedding venue. Cannon Beach has beautiful views and rock formations along the coast. There is also a fun town to eat and shop in. (Fun fact: part of The Goonies was filmed here!)

Commute: 1.5 hours This is the main ski lodge at Mount Hood. On the way, you can stop in Sandy, OR for donuts at Joes Donuts or grab bakery food at Tollgate Inn.

Commute: 35 minute This is one of the more popular hikes in the Columbia River Gorge on the Oregon side. This is a moderate hike that comes out to about 4.5 miles with a 1500 foot elevation gain.

Commute: 1.5 hours This is one of my (Jacob's) favorite hikes in the Columbia River Gorge. It is a hard hike (over 6 miles),. BUT it has an open field of wildflowers (which will be in bloom in May)! The last time I went, I took Cana and we ran into a hail storm at the top. But you will get an awesome view of the Columbia River!
