Travel

There are many hotel options in Bishop (14 and counting!) but below are the two hotels with the nicest accommodations that we highly recommend you staying at as they are the closest to our reception venue. We have secured a room block at Wayfinder Hotel and are working on securing a room block for Cielo Hotel. More information is listed below.

Travel Note

Where in the world is Bishop?

From the Bay Area, Bishop is about a 5.5-hour drive through Yosemite via Tioga Pass—one of our absolute favorite places to drive through (and climb!). From Los Angeles, it's around 4.5 hours up Highway 395, passing through the Mojave Desert and with incredible views of Mount Whitney and the Eastern Sierras. From Reno it's about a 4hr drive, with a short detour possible next to the ever-blue Lake Tahoe, and through Mammoth - a world destination for skiing and mountain biking. East Coast friends will need to rent a car after flying into one of the three major hubs listed above. Mammoth Lakes and Bishop have tiny airports too if that's within your price range (it's not in ours!).

Wayfinder Bishop offers complimentary breakfast, heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi, and fire tables beside the bubbling Bishop Creek. This hotel is a 2 minute walk (really!) to our reception venue. There is no additional code to enter as the link is unique for our wedding. Please note that once you click the link, you will need to adjust the dates to your specific arrival/departure dates. This discount will remain active until October 1 and will expire after; reservations will need to be made prior to October 1 to obtain the discount.

Hotel

Cielo Hotel Bishop-Mammoth, Ascend Hotel Collection

651 North Main Street
Bishop, CA 93514
 (760) 873-6380

Cielo Hotel is also a great, affordable option! Modern amenities ensure a comfortable stay in their mountain-style oasis. Plus, it's just a 3-minute walk from our reception venue!

Travel Note

National Parks Fee

If you are traveling from the Bay Area and you are planning to take Highway 120 to Highway 395, you will need to go through Yosemite via Tioga Pass. On your trip to Bishop, you will have to pay the park entrance fee ($35.00) at the gate, however, it is free to enter Yosemite on Monday, November 11th. We highly suggest buying the Annual Pass as it allows you to see so much more of our beautiful National Parks! If you do not want to travel via Tioga Pass, Sonora Pass also offers stunning views.
