Jaclyn & Shabier

Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jaclyn Dimetres and Shabier Bahramy
Santorini (also known as Thira) is essentially what remains after an enormous volcanic eruption over 3,600 years ago caused the center of the island to collapse into the sea, creating the current geological caldera.

Akrotiri Archaeological site

Akrotiri, 731 00, Greece

This ancient city was covered in a heap of volcanic ash in the late 17th century B.C., preserving it for present-day archaeologists and interested tourists. The site is so well preserved that it is often referred to as the Pompeii of the Aegean.

Santorini wineries and tours

Santorini has some amazing wineries, you can go on organized tours or check them out on your own. Of course Santo Wines Winery is our favorite and you will be able to experience that on the day of the wedding. Venetsanos Winery is one we loved and recommend for the fabulous view and rosé! Check out the link for info on tours and descriptions of each.

Hike from Fira to Oia

Greece

This is one of the most popular things to do in Santorini. The hike takes somewhere between 2 and 5 hours depending on your speed and how many pictures you take along the way. The walk starts in Fira moves north through Firostefani and then Imerovigli. From Imerovigli to Oia it's largely rural with a few shops or restaurants on this stretch of path.

Visit the Red, White, Black, and/or Kamari beaches (or go off-roading and find a private beach).
