Yes! There will likely be several kids. Please be aware that Loloma Lodge does border a swift moving river and we want to keep everyone safe!
A majority of the wedding activities will be outside. Sturdy shoes (no heels here...), a rain jacket (it is the Northwest after all but fingers crossed for sunshine). Ceremony dress code is casual wedding. Who doesn't love an excuse to dress up but please be comfortable and ready to boogie. Hiking boots and a rain jacket are key!
We will provide Dinner Thursday for the welcome event, Dinner Friday after the ceremony, a casual Brunch the following morning and BBQ dinner Saturday. Starbucks coffee and creamer will be available at Loloma Lodge each morning. Each guest is responsible for their own breakfast and lunch on the day of our wedding, Friday and lunch on Saturday. Saturday evening we invite you back to Loloma for one final hoorah. There are several grocery stores in Eugene and Bend, please stock up accordingly on your way into camp.
We will provide beer and wine for the evening events (welcome, reception and sendoff BBQ). If you prefer to drink liquor or a certain type of beer or wine, please bring it to supplement what we are providing. Sharing is caring and we will create a communal bar space where you can share bottles of liquor. In Oregon, you can only buy liquor at a liquor store. There are no liquor stores in McKenzie Bridge. Stock up in Portland, Eugene or Bend before heading to Loloma Lodge.
There are a few local restaurants in the area, however due to ever changing restrictions we cannot guarantee any of the below. Please plan ahead! Loloma Lodge has a large communal catering kitchen that can be utilized by guests. McKenzie General Store and Obsidian Grill! They have a restaurant that offers locally sourced and organic food in addition to beer on tap. Plus they have delicious items in their market like organic produce, prepared foods, granola, bulk popcorn, dairy products, and kombucha. This is a great place to enjoy lunch or pick up items for a picnic or breakfast. McKenzie River Pub is an eclectic restaurant across the street from the general store. They have outdoor seating on their patio and offer a pub-style menu. Takoda's Restaurant offers casual diner-style food. The Blue Sky Market is next to Takoda's if you want another grocery options or a quick bite.
None! But we encourage you to put down your phone, be present and spend an amazing three days with us. Please note: Cell towers and landlines in the area are currently down due to the recent wildfires. Please be patient when looking for accommodations or contacting any of the other local attractions.
Camping at Loloma is $35/night and can be paid with cash or check upon arrival to Loloma. We recommend the typical equipment; tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, stove, cooler (with breakfast and lunch items), chairs and headlamps. If you are coming in from out of town and need to borrow or rent equipment, let us know and we can try to help you out. Do you have friends camping too? Then join forces and set up a communal kitchen so that you can all bring less stuff. Loloma Lodge has flush toilets all over the property as well as private outdoor showers for campers.
