April is our favorite time of year to ski in the morning and golf in the afternoon. Below are our favorite golf courses 1 hour from Solitude. Thanksgiving Point: The farthest drive from Solitude, but one of the nicest public courses in the SLC area. https://www.thanksgivingpointgolfclub.com/ South Mountain: Very cool course on the bench of the Salt Lake City Valley, has nice views of the entire Valley. https://www.saltlakecounty.gov/parks-recreation/facilities-and-golf/golf/south-mountain/ River Oaks: Second closest golf course to Solitude. Fun course with good mountain views! https://sandy.utah.gov/1174/River-Oaks-Golf Old Mill: Closest course to Solitude, an open course with the best Sunset/Sunrise views of the Salt Lake Valley. Front 9 is awesome, Back 9 is just alright. https://www.saltlakecounty.gov/parks-recreation/facilities-and-golf/golf/old-mill-golf-course/ Mountain Dell: High elevation golfing & there is a good chance you will see a Moose (Not Jackson's Dad)!
Kendra & Jackson have ranked their favorite National Parks to help people looking to extend their trip: 1. Bryce Canyon/Zion: Bryce Canyon is the highest elevation National Park in Utah with great sunset & sunrise views. Say hello to the hoodoos for us, they will leave an impression. A few staple hikes are Navajo Loop & Queens Garden Trail & Peeka-a-boo Loop. Zion has the legendary Angles Landing hike and Canyon Rim has some of the best views. Recommended towns to stay in are Kanab, Springdale, Escalante. 2. Arches/Canyonlands: Situated right outside of Moab, Arches is a very easy to access National Park. Arches has the iconic Delicate Arch & over 2,000 arches it is an awesome place to check out. The hikes we would recommend are Delicate Arch Trail & Devil's Garden. Canyonlands is the largest national park in Utah and is also very close to Moab. Check out the Needle district & the Chesler Park Loop (Long Hike). Feel free to text Kendra and me if you have questions/need more ideas!
