As much as we would love to have everyone's children at our wedding, the venue has a limited capacity, so unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate kids.
Yes! The Silver Lake Loop trail follows a boardwalk around Silver Lake. The interpretive trail is about a mile long and completely encircles Silver Lake. About 3/4 of the trail is constructed as a board walk to give hikers better access to the lake and its surroundings than you could get on foot. For other Utah ideas please check out our "Things To Do" page.

For those visiting Salt Lake City/Solitude for the first time, please be aware that altitude is a real thing. Solitude Mountain base is 8,000 Ft, please be aware and drink water. People have different susceptibilities to altitude sickness; for some otherwise healthy people, acute altitude sickness can begin to appear at around 6,500 ft above sea level, such as at many mountain ski resorts... symptoms include headache, fatigue, stomach illness, dizziness, and sleep disturbance. Please drink as much water as possible to prepare for the trip and continue to drink water throughout. Alcohol will affect you much more quickly. Pharmacies in Salt Lake carry altitude sickness remedies, including cans of oxygen, Advil, electrolytes, etc.
Yes, you can drink in Utah! Restaurants, bars, and events in Utah carry a variety of different types of liquor licenses. Please be sure to have your ID ready to validate you are 21+ , it is require by law to check each person's ID. The legal BAC limit in Utah is .05 for driving, which is why we recommend staying at Solitude Resort. This is lower than the more common limit of . 08 imposed in most other states. Please be mindful of this limit when enjoying your time in Utah. You can buy beer at any grocery or convenient store, but you have to go to a liquor store for liquor and wine
