Castle of Grinzane Cavour
The most notable and important castle in the region. It has beautiful grounds, views of the vineyards, you can tour the castle, drink at the Enoteca while enjoying the views, and eat at a Michelin Star restaurant. The castle dates back to the 13th century. It was improved upon by the Count of Cavour in the early 1800's. The Count of Cavour is known for being the Architect of the Unification of Italy, in addition to enhancing the cultivations of the vineyards to what we all love today. Highly recommend!
La Morra
Smack dab in the middle of Langhe Valley. At the top of La Morra there are great enotecas and the best view of all the vineyards.
Barolo
Barolo is known around the World for some of the best wines. A varietal they call.....Barolo! A beautiful, quaint town with amazing vineyards. There is also a 10th Century Castle that dominates their hilltop. A must see!
Marchesi di Barolo
One of the, if not the most, well known vineyard in the area. They do tours if you reach out before. You can also head in to their shop to buy/ship bottles back home.
Explore Langhe Valley by Bike
Villa Beccaris has bikes that can be taken out to explore the region. While that might work for some Tour De France enthusiasts....in the area, there are places to rent E-Bikes. These have pedal assist and make exploring the rolling hills/vineyards a breeze! Please take a look at the link - select English in the upper right. The bike rental is about 5 minutes from Monforte d'Alba. **You can arrange these services through your Villa/Hotel! They are super helpful and able to assist in any way they can**

The pace of life in Italy is something we all wish we had at home...so soak it in! If you want to lounge by a pool with a prosecco, go explore the vineyards on bikes, or drive to see the neighboring towns - that is perfect. We ask just one thing....enjoy yourself!
