Jackie and Bonny became friends in the first week of law school, sitting next to each other as they learned property and contracts, criminal law and civil procedure. She laughed in the study rooms with our study group, dressed to the nines for the law school dances, and went on many dog adventures with her pup Kopka and Jackie and Muffin!

Corrin and Jackie became fast friends in middle school in Edina, joining each other for school plays, track and field, and mock trial--although they spent most of our time together in the car, singing along to musical soundtracks! (The photograph is Corrin and Jackie serving ice cream out of a kitesurfing shop in Malmo, Sweden! They were fortunate enough to experience an authentic Swedish Midsommar celebration, complete with homemade elderberry wine, served out of a gasoline canister!)

Danielle, Jackie, Chris, and Matthew Manning were all in the same 4th grade class in Minneapolis. Jackie was a shy girl and Danielle brought her out of her shell! They've shared their love of musicals and dogs (her pup, Binx, is just a bit older than Muffin), and Minneapolis! (The photograph is the two of them on a trampoline, Jackie is in her high school cheerleading uniform :))

Irene Hasse

Chris and Jackie met Irene in Chicago around 2015-2017--then Chris and Jackie went to Minnesota for law school, and Irene returned to her native St. Louis. Fortunately for all of us, as we moved to NYC in July 2021, Irene moved shortly thereafter, and the three of us have had a blast as midwesterners exploring Manhattan!

Ruth (RJ) Johansen

Jackie and Ruth met at church camp (Mt. Olivet's Cathedral of the Pines in Lutsen, MN) in about third grade, and while they never attended the same school district, spent many years in summer camp cabins together! Ruth and Jackie have spent a generous portion of their friendship watching She's the Man :) (In the photo, Jackie is in the lower left corner, and Ruth is on the far right)
