They met in elementary school, the year 2000. Chris had white-blonde hair and a homemade rap CD. Jackie was shy and obsessed with dogs. Rumor has it, they held hands and smooched at Jackie’s family farm. But then they went to different middle schools, high schools, and colleges. Fast forward to fourteen years later. Jackie was finishing her first year of post-college volunteer service at Amate House in Chicago. Danielle happened to ask, "Did you know *Chris Engh* lives in Chicago?" Jackie reached out, and on her last night, she visited Chris at his apartment in Avondale. He promised he would write her a song. She told him she was moving to Milwaukee to do another year of volunteer service. She said she wasn’t going to date him. Then he sent her the song. It was called, “Come Back 2 Me.” And she's been smitten ever since.

-September 2000: Jackie and Chris meet in Mr. Boone's fourth grade class at Fulton Elementary School in Minneapolis. (-2009-2013: Chris attends Columbia College in Chicago, IL; Jackie attends the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC). (-2013-2014: Jackie volunteers with Amate House in Chicago). -June 2014: Jackie and Chris reconnect in Chicago. -2014-2015: Jackie volunteers with Lutheran Volunteer Corps in Milwaukee, visiting with Chris on weekends. -2015: Jackie moves back to Chicago. -2017: Jackie and Chris move back to Minneapolis so Jackie can start at the University of Minnesota Law School. -May 2020: Jackie graduates from law school. -February 2021: Jackie and Chris get a puppy named Muffin! -July 2021: Jackie, Chris, and Muffin move to NYC! -August 2022: Jackie and Chris tie the knot!
