Things To Do

Kumquat Coffee HLP

4936 York Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90042

Kumquat coffee is great. They roast their own beans and it's right on York Boulevard.

Griffith Observatory

2800 East Observatory Road, Los Angeles, CA 90027

Griffith Park is one of our favorite places for a quick hike. There are lots of trails to choose from and you can hike to the Hollywood sign if you are so inclined. The observatory is worth a visit. It's a cool Art Deco building, and you can look through the telescope at night.

Vidiots

4884 Eagle Rock Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90041

Vidiots is a non-profit video rental store with a movie theater. They curate screenings that include cult classics, regular classics, and sometimes new releases that will become future classices. Check them out!

Grand Central Market

317 South Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90013

Grand Central Market is a great place to grab a bite. We love the pupusa stand. Afterwards, you can ride Angel's Flight Railway or swing by The Last Bookstore.

Jitlada Thai

5233 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90027

a modest restaurant serving authentic, spicy Thai food in East Hollywood.

Frogtown Flea Crawl

Stroll along the LA River bike path while exploring various flea vendors. Starts at 11AM Saturday morning.

Dan Sung Sa

3317 West 6th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90020

Some of LA's best nightlife is in Koreatown. This restaurant serves up cheap skewers and drinks. Go with a group.

Joy

5100 York Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90042

An excellent Taiwanese restaurant along York Blvd.

Proof Bakery

3156 Glendale Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90039

A small bakery with the greatest croissants. Usually a line out the door.

The Roost Cocktails

3100 Los Feliz Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90039

"an unpretentious pub." We like this place, okay?

Tonga Hut

12808 Victory Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 91606

Our favorite hole-in-the-wall tiki bar. Located in the Valley.
