Things To Do

Estes Park is the quintessential mountain town and we are certain you will love the time you spend here. From jeep tours to scoping out bugling elk to visiting some local craft breweries, Estes Park has it all!

Stanley Hotel

333 East Wonderview Avenue, Estes Park, CO 80517
, (970) 586-3371

Tour the haunted hotel that inspired Stephen King to write The Shining! They host lots of events so check their website for all options.

Rocky Mountain National Park

CO
(970) 586-1206

In order to enter RMNP, you will need a reservation which you can book starting August 1st - please see the link above for all the information about reserving your access to the park! It will be a beautiful time of year for a hike or drive in RMNP, and it is also elk bugling season so you will likely see a lot around town. If you want to see some elk without venturing into RMNP, we have had great luck at the Estes Park Golf Course and at YMCA of the Rockies. Early morning is the best time to see them!

Lily Lake

Estes Park, CO 80517

A great non-strenuous hike with amazing views outside Estes (where we took our engagement photos), and you don’t need to pay RMNP admission!

Kruger Rock Trail

Estes Park, CO 80517

This is a more difficult hike than Lily Lake and will likely take you 2-2.5 hours. Bring plenty of water and drink plenty (of water) beforehand. This hike has beautiful views at the top overseeing the town of Estes. This is outside RMNP so you do not need a reservation, but there is a $10 admission fee to enter this park.
