A local tip for guests visiting Tralee: Betty’s Bar on Strand Street is a cosy, traditional Irish pub, well known for its Tuesday trad music nights. Ashe Memorial Hall and the Kerry County Museum are great for local history, and the nearby Rose Garden celebrates the famous Rose of Tralee. Golf lovers may enjoy Tralee Golf Club or Ballybunion Golf Club. Blennerville Windmill is a lovely historic spot with guided tours and beautiful views. For scenery, Caherconree offers a great mountain walk or drive. Nearby beaches include Derrymore Strand and Inch Beach for walks, swimming and surfing, while the Magharees are ideal for surfing or kayaking. Banana Beach is also lovely for a walk, with Kate Browne’s Pub nearby for food. Fenit Lighthouse is worth a visit too. For day trips, Killarney and Dingle are both beautiful options.
